You do not have to finish every objective in one round, and the three scouting locations can be visited in any order.
Combat Recon objectives at a glance
- Scope out the stairwell at Parking Garage.
- Scope out a bus in Marano Park.
- Scope out an attic window in Plaza Rosa, near the Main Street clue.
- Destroy two Spotters.
- Extract with a Spotter Relay and deliver it to Shani.
The objective steps can be completed across multiple rounds. If you already have a Spotter Relay, you may be able to use it for the delivery objective rather than finding another one during this quest. The guides do not establish that every relay source or inventory state will count in every build, so check the quest tracker if the delivery step does not update. Where to scope out the three locations
All three prompts are in Buried City. Use the specific interactable landmarks below; the Main Street wording is especially vague without the Plaza Rosa attic landmark.
Parking Garage stairwell
Reach the Parking Garage roof and go to its southwestern side. Interact at the top of the stairwell, beside the broken railing. The central zipline can provide a convenient way onto the roof, but the rooftop is exposed. A Bombardier or Rocketeer may be nearby, so check your surroundings before interacting.

Marano Park bus
In Marano Park, find the bus nearest the metro entrance. Enter it and interact at the back door. The bus faces west toward Piazza Roma. Its position near the metro may suit a route that is already heading that way, but extraction options and danger vary from run to run.
Plaza Rosa attic window near Main Street
Go to the westernmost house in Plaza Rosa, in southern Buried City. Reach the attic and interact with the roof window overlooking the plaza to the east. This is the useful landmark for the quest’s Main Street prompt.
You can visit these spots in any order. Choose the next one based on your spawn, the route you can travel safely, and nearby threats rather than following a fixed route.
How to destroy Spotters and get a Spotter Relay
Spotters are recon drones deployed by Bombardiers. Destroy two Spotters to satisfy the combat objective, then loot a Spotter Relay, keep it safe on the return trip, extract, and hand it to Shani. The quest does not require you to kill a Bombardier.

The walkthroughs report Bombardiers and Spotters around Parking Garage, Marano Park, and Plaza Rosa/Main Street; GameSpot specifically describes a Bombardier patrol near Marano Park. Treat these as reported areas, not guaranteed spawns: enemy placement can vary.
Choosing a route and managing risk
There is no universally safest order for the three scope-out points. Make the choice for the run you are in:

- Spawn position: Start with a nearby prompt to avoid unnecessary crossings.
- Exposure and threats: Consider the open Parking Garage roof and whether enemies or other players could interrupt the interaction.
- Metro and extraction: Marano Park’s bus is near a metro station, but that does not guarantee a convenient or safe extraction.
- Relay status: If you already have a Spotter Relay, prioritize protecting it and completing the delivery objective; check the quest tracker to confirm it counts.
Because scouting progress can carry across rounds, you do not need to force all three locations and the combat tasks into one risky trip. Complete the prompts that fit your route, then return for the remaining steps in another round if needed.
