Capturing the Thief is a Florawish Random Quest. Game8 lists it as part of version 1.0 and names Forced Perspective: Caged Bird as its prerequisite. Game8’s quest guide was last updated May 14, 2025; its team says it stopped updating the game after version 1.6, so later changes are not confirmed there.

After completing Caged Bird, look for Toran under a tree near the Kingdom Guards’ Office in Florawish. The Mayor’s Residence Warp Spire is a suggested nearby teleport point. Game8’s guide identifies this location and route.
Take the “Jailed Thief” photo
- Open the in-game camera. You do not need a physical camera or an external item for this quest.
- Line up the scene. Frame the Thief Warrant on the wall beyond the Iron Fence so the bars appear to cage the thief shown on the warrant.
- Wait for the camera cue. Adjust your position or angle until the square target turns gold and reads “Jailed Thief.” Take the picture only once that label appears. Game8’s walkthrough describes the alignment and success cue.
- Show the photo to Toran. Return to him and submit the captured image to complete the quest.
If the camera will not recognize the scene
The camera target may fail to appear or register even when the composition looks close. Game8 recommends disabling Nikki, NPCs, and Eureka effects in the camera menu. If that does not help, the guide suggests setting the aperture to f/16 and trying again at 10:00 a.m. in-game time. These are troubleshooting suggestions, not guaranteed fixes. A December 2024 player discussion reports similar difficulty, but does not establish that the quest is currently bugged. Game8’s guide and the player discussion describe these issues; a February 2026 guide repeats the settings advice but does not verify current in-game behavior. TheGamer’s guide offers the later corroboration.
