The route below reflects third-party walkthroughs published in November 2024; check your live quest journal for current requirements if its instructions differ.
Prepare before starting
The November 2024 walkthroughs recommend Woodcutter level 8, a Jar, four Coarse Ash Planks, and health potions. Twinfinite additionally recommends Scout level 17 as a minimum and level 20 for greater comfort. These are guide recommendations, not confirmed current hard gates, and the guides do not establish an exact potion quantity. Twinfinite’s walkthrough and Screen Plays Mag’s guide were published in November 2024.
Follow the opening quest steps
- Start in Dryad Glade. Speak with the Dryad to begin the quest.
- Collect Orange Iris. Find the flowers in Thin Trail, north of Dryad Glade.
- Enter the Magic Cave. Use the Dryad Leaf to enter, then choose a faction: Guardian (ranged weapons and nature magic), Cryoknight (melee weapons and cryo magic), or Hammermage (magic weapons and storm magic).
- Defeat corrupted Jermais. Travel to the corruption source northeast of Overgrown Trail and defeat him.
- Follow the Dryad to Crystal Clearing. Collect glowing beetles for the giant crystal. This contribution is not enough on its own to complete the cleansing.
Collect the three additional magic sources
Glowing mushrooms: Mushroom Grove
Go to Mushroom Grove near Crystal Clearing and collect the glowing mushrooms. Twinfinite notes that Woodcutter skills may be needed to clear brambles on the way.
Glowing honey: Two-Headed Bear Clearing
Defeat the bear in Two-Headed Bear Clearing, then use a Jar to collect honey from the glowing hive. Twinfinite suggests luring the bear onto the bridge and using a slam attack after it charges; treat this as tactical advice from that guide, not a guaranteed strategy.

Glowing fern: across the Hopeforest Ferry
Repair the Hopeforest Ferry with four Coarse Ash Planks, cross, defeat the Giant Newt, and collect the glowing fern. Screen Plays Mag says the four planks can be made from two Ash Logs at the Carpenter’s Workshop; Twinfinite also reports the four-plank ferry requirement and the newt-and-fern sequence.
Return the sources to the Dryad
Bring the glowing mushrooms, glowing honey, and glowing fern back to the Dryad. The walkthroughs say the Dryad uses these sources to empower the giant crystal in Crystal Clearing and remove the corruption. Check the quest tracker for the next step and follow its current instruction if the live game differs from this November 2024 route.
