In Spider by @RoyStanford (Roblox place ID 5118969548), survivors work together to power and unlock the exit, then reach the boat; the spider tries to stop them before they escape or time runs out. The survivor route below follows the documented first-chapter approach. Item locations can vary, so use the active round’s prompts and layout if they differ.
Confirm you are playing the right Spider
This guide is for Spider by @RoyStanford, whose Roblox listing describes the challenge as “Can you escape the eight-legged beast?” Other Roblox experiences also use Spider in their names. The listing showed no running experiences when checked; that observation does not establish that the experience is permanently offline.
How the two roles differ
| Role | Goal | How the map helps |
|---|---|---|
| Survivors | Cooperate to complete the item and switch chain, unlock the gate, and reach the boat. | Find keys and tools, activate the shed and bunker switches, and use the resulting route to escape. |
| Spider | Eliminate survivors before they escape or the timer runs out. | Place web traps and use walls and ceilings to move around the map and intercept survivors. |
Survivor walkthrough: escape in the first chapter
The documented route is a sequence of searches, switches, and unlocks. The walkthrough, updated July 16, 2024, notes that items may appear in different locations. Treat the rooms below as places to check, not guaranteed spawns.
- Find the Green Key and open the shed. Search the house; the upstairs bedroom is one suggested early search spot. The key may be elsewhere, and only one player can carry it at a time, so tell the group when you find it. Use it on the shed door.
- Open the bunker and disable its defenses. Find C4 and use it at the bunker entrance. Then find the wrench and use it to deactivate the entrance lasers. The attic, reached by moving the ladder under the loft hatch, is a suggested place to search for C4; the ladder and wrench can also be elsewhere.
- Prepare the gate behind the house. Use the crowbar to remove the boards. Activate the switch in the shed and the switch in the bunker, then find the battery and insert it into the shed’s battery port to restore power. Lights by the gate indicate whether the shed and bunker switches have been activated.
- Unlock the gate and escape. Find the Yellow Key in the shed and use it to open the bunker safe. Take the Purple Key from the safe, use it on the powered gate, then go to the boat and click it to trigger the completion cutscene.
Optional spider spray
After teammates open the safe area, the Orange Key can open another safe containing spider spray. The walkthrough says the spray slows the spider, giving survivors more time to search. Avoid touching spider webs: they stun a player for five seconds.

Coordinate item searches and switches
Call out items and switch activations in chat so teammates know what has been found and what remains. If the group loses track of progress, check the gate-side lights to see whether the shed and bunker switches are active.
Playing as the spider
The spider is described as faster than survivors, impossible to kill, able to place webs that stun survivors, and able to move along walls and ceilings. Use those advantages to disrupt the escape chain rather than waiting at a single point.

- Learn the key routes. Keep track of the shed, bunker, and gate, since survivors need to work around those objectives.
- Place webs near objectives. Traps can stun survivors as they search, gather items, or move through important areas. Check those traps and respond when one catches someone.
- Use surfaces to intercept. Move across walls or ceilings to cut across the map or approach survivors by an unexpected route.
- Patrol between objectives. Moving between the shed, bunker, and gate gives you opportunities to encounter survivors carrying items or traveling between tasks. This is a tactical application of the documented objective and movement information, not a guaranteed winning strategy.
Item locations and route caveats
Do not rely on a fixed-room list for the Green Key, C4, wrench, ladder, crowbar, battery, or colored keys. The walkthrough says item locations can vary. A community-maintained item wiki also describes these objects and their uses, including keys for doors and safes, the crowbar for boards, the battery for the exit, C4 for the bunker, the wrench for bunker defenses, Bug Spray for stunning the spider, and the ladder for the attic. It is secondary guidance; follow the current round’s prompts and layout if they differ from either guide. The walkthrough’s update date is July 16, 2024, while the wiki reports a last update of March 10, 2026. The official listing identifies the experience and premise but does not provide a detailed current walkthrough.
