Respond to the camera cues
- Intruder in the hallway while the phone is broken: repair the phone promptly, then turn off the lights and hide in the closet.
- Intruder in the vent: switch off the lights and wait for the vent to close.
These are supported walkthrough tactics, not a guarantee that every encounter follows an identical timing pattern.
Chapter 2: The Mall
Stay alive until 7 AM
Keep an eye on Hallway 1 and Hallway 3. Static signals that the intruder is moving; a longer interruption is associated with interference at the camera or power system. The intruder may peer through the room window or enter through the door, so use the lockers when danger is near and remain motionless while hiding.

Restore power when needed
If the power goes out, replace the fuses. Do not treat a camera feed as a substitute for responding to an outage: restore power, then resume monitoring and hiding as needed.
Chapter 3: The Mineshaft
Complete the generators and reach the lift
- Repair generators until the progress meter reaches 100%. Quick-time events can occur during repairs; use the listed skill-check input when prompted.
- Avoid a generator the intruder has just broken, because the threat may still be nearby.
- When the meter reaches 100%, go to the escape lift. The walkthrough reports that you have 30 seconds to reach it.
Lockers can be used to hide while avoiding the intruder. Sprint is listed as Left Shift on PC or B on gamepad for this chapter.

Chapter 5: Mental Hospital
Advance through the keys and generator
- Find the silver key and use it to open the first gate.
- Locate the gold key for the next locked gate.
- Find the wrench and use it to activate the generator.
- Take the lift, then complete the office camera sequence before heading down the hall toward the basement.

Survive until police arrive
