Unlock the Slaying the Hero Holly quest
Complete Mastering Control of Time to open the three parallel hero quests: Josee, Lyle and Holly. You can tackle them in any order. For Holly’s route, start at her Cocoon in the Withered Greenhouse in the Undead Forest.

Follow Holly’s route
- Enter Holly’s past. Interact with Holly’s Cocoon at the Withered Greenhouse.
- Meet Holly at the Sanatorium. Ask for treatment there to obtain Holly as a partner.
- Clear the Gorge Cave hot spring. Visit the hot spring and defeat the Resurgence Zealot. After learning what is needed to unseal Holly’s Cocoon, speak with Lou through a Mistle.
- Defeat the three Holly’s Pathos encounters. Follow the active quest objectives and map marker between fights. One walkthrough lists the Forest Complex, Snowy Mountain Amusement Park and Abandoned Hilltop Church; another lists the amusement park, church and apartment complex. Because the third-area labels do not agree, use the in-game objective rather than relying on a guide’s location name if your marker points elsewhere.
- Return to the present and unseal Holly’s Cocoon. Defeat Hero Holly the Reaper to complete the main quest.
What happens after Hero Holly the Reaper
Defeating Hero Holly the Reaper finishes Slaying the Hero Holly, but it does not finish Holly’s separate timeline quest. The follow-up is Timeline Shift Decision: Holly. It addresses Holly’s fading bond and requires additional steps involving Camilo’s remnants and pathos.
For that follow-up, speak with Monica at the Withered Greenhouse, collect Camilo’s remnants/pathos from the Ruined Town and Sanatorium, return to the fading bond and defeat Retainer of Idris. The route then returns to the past and continues through the Sanatorium to a fight with Camilo Asturias. The later objective to fight Hero Holly at the Cocoon belongs to this timeline quest, not the initial main quest.

The timeline decision is optional for completing the main story quest. It may matter for partner outcomes and the third ending, so continue into it if you are pursuing those outcomes. The first Holly quest ends with Hero Holly the Reaper.
