The Fisch Wiki’s Desolate Deep page, updated September 25, 2026, lists 12 catches across seven rarity groups. Use the table to plan your bait and fishing conditions; check the in-game preferences if a later game update changes them.

“Any” means the wiki lists no preference for that condition. The list has 12 entries; do not rely on search snippets that describe a 13th catch.
Where to fish in Desolate Deep
The Desolate Deep is behind Sunstone Island. The Fisch Wiki’s location guide directs players to Point Nemo Buoy at X: -791, Y: 142, Z: -3102, then down into the trench. Take the left cave to reach the pond where the Desolate Deep bestiary catches are found. The right cave leads to Desolate Pocket, a separate area.

Most entries can be targeted in the main pond. Sea Mine is the exception to ordinary rod fishing in the checklist: the wiki lists a Crab Cage as its bait or catch method, with Clear weather and no time or season preference.
Plan catches around shared conditions
Use the condition columns to group targets rather than waiting on one fish at a time. For example, a night session in summer can cover Cockatoo Squid and Phantom Ray; night in autumn can cover Phantom Ray and Midnight Axolotl. Spring targets include Horseshoe Crab, Slate Tuna and Banditfish, with Midnight Axolotl also listed for spring nights. Rainy weather suits Emperor Jellyfish and is listed for both common catches; Foggy summer is the listed combination for Rockstar Hermit Crab.

These combinations identify overlapping preferences, not a guarantee that a fish will appear. The wiki does not publish catch probabilities or an estimated completion time, so allow for repeated attempts and confirm preferences in-game if results differ.
Reaching Brine Pool is a separate route
Brine Pool is not the main Desolate Deep pond. The Fisch Wiki route guide describes reaching it from the lantern-bearing NPC’s facing direction, toward a rocky platform and a crevice. It lists two in-game traversal options: a Glider for 900C$ or a Tidebreaker for 40,000C$. A Reinforced Rod is required to fish in Brine Pool. These route and gear details matter only if you are also visiting Brine Pool; they are not listed as requirements for the 12 catches in the Desolate Deep table.

The Desolate Pocket page associates completing the Desolate Deep bestiary and diving into an underwater cave in the pocket with obtaining the Trident Rod. The page does not give a complete acquisition walkthrough, so treat that as a progression connection rather than a full set of instructions. The general Bestiary page says the book’s bookmark turns shiny at 100% completion of the entire Bestiary; that is a global indicator, not confirmation of a special Desolate Deep-only progress marker.
Bestiaries are organized by location. The general page also excludes Magic Threads, Ancient Threads, Lunar Threads, Treasure Maps and Nukes from Bestiary entries.

The catch list and route information come from the community-maintained Fisch Wiki, rather than an official developer confirmation. Its Desolate Deep and Desolate Pocket pages show September 25, 2026 update dates; the general Bestiary excerpt reviewed did not show an update date. Game data can change, so the in-game conditions take precedence if they conflict with the listed preferences.
