To complete the Reckoning Main Quest in Black Ops 6 Zombies, open the Teleportation Lab, build Franken-Klaus and use him to hack the Janus system, unblock and power the portal, then choose whether to fight S.A.M. or Uber Richtofen. You need the Gorgofex and a DNA Vial for the final encounter; the terminal code changes from match to match.
Before you start: unlock the map and gather what the quest needs
Reckoning takes place in Janus Towers, the final chapter of Black Ops 6 Zombies. First activate map power and Pack-a-Punch by following the orange objectives. You can begin the quest steps as you progress, but prepare for the final encounter before entering the portal.

- Required for the quest: the Gorgofex Wonder Weapon and an explosive lethal.
- Needed for the final encounter: the DNA Vial, collected after obtaining the Geneticist Zombie’s keycard.
- For Franken-Klaus: two robot arms and two legs.
- Useful preparation: a suitable weapon and Aether Shroud can help with combat. The best weapon choice depends on which final boss you select.
During Kommando Klaus special rounds, shoot the robots’ arms to collect two. The legs are found separately in possible spawn locations in T2 Android Assembly.
1. Open the Teleportation Lab
- Take the syringe. In the T1 Mutant Research Lab, pick up the syringe from the centrifuge.
- Collect a blood sample. Go to T2 Sublevel 10 and jump into the Particle Accelerator beam to knock down the floating zombie. Interact with the zombie to collect its blood.
- Get the Fowler Mutant Injection. Return to the centrifuge. Defeat the Fowler Mangler that spawns and pick up the Fowler Mutant Injection.
- Open the portal. Use the injection at the scanner in T2 Dark Entity Containment to open the Teleportation Lab portal. If you fail this step, the walkthrough says a replacement injection can be purchased with salvage.
Collect the DNA Vial
After Pack-a-Punch is active, kill the Geneticist Zombie in Mutant Research to get its keycard. Use the keycard on the fridge in Mutant Research Test Area and take the DNA Vial. The walkthrough identifies the vial as required to enter the final encounter, so collect it before committing to the portal.

2. Build Franken-Klaus and hack the Janus system
Assemble Franken-Klaus
- Collect two arms by shooting them off Kommando Klaus robots during a special round.
- Find two legs at separate possible spawn locations in T2 Android Assembly.
- Attach the arms and legs to the hanging Klaus.
- Lure Uber Klaus to the assembled unit. Its electrical attack activates Franken-Klaus.
Complete the terminal sequence
Franken-Klaus works at a nearby terminal, then moves to an S.A.M. Trial in Dark Entity Containment. Complete the trial. He then moves to the Teleportation Lab terminal.
Find four folders around the map. Each has an item number and a date. Sort the folders by date from oldest to newest, then enter their four item numbers in that order at the terminal. The locations vary, and the code is match-specific; do not rely on a fixed code from another run.

3. Unblock the portal with the Gorgofex
Obtain the Gorgofex Wonder Weapon if you have not already. The walkthrough’s portal-unblocking instructions use static screens in the Mutant Research Lab: read one or two words, take their first letters, and use those letters to identify an element and derive the keypad code. Continue the associated quest steps to unblock the portal.
The walkthrough also describes two Gorgofex upgrade paths, but says the upgrades are optional for the Main Quest. They may still be useful in the boss fight. Because the screen text and resulting code are not universal, follow the clues in your own match rather than entering a published example code.

4. Capture the objects and power the portal
- Open Project Janus containers and collect four Vacuum-Seal Devices.
- Find four purple-glowing objects around the map and capture them with the devices.
- Insert all four devices into the console in the Teleportation Lab.
- Complete the lockdown by turning the red switches green.
Entering the portal is the final commitment to the encounter. Finish your loadout and preparation before you go through.

At the final choice, side with either Richtofen or S.A.M. Your choice selects the boss encounter and a branch-specific mini-cutscene. The walkthrough reports that both routes lead to the same final cutscene.

Can Directed Mode help?
Call of Duty’s official Reckoning guide says Directed Mode leads players from objective to objective and limits round escalation. Its round cap rises as objectives are completed, reaching Round 15 until the Main Quest is complete. The official page is a map tour covering the first ten rounds, not a complete set of Main Quest instructions.
What reward does the Main Quest give?
GameSpot’s August 2025 walkthrough reports a reward of 5,000 XP for completing the quest. Treat that as the reward reported by that guide; the available material does not establish whether the amount changes in other game builds.
