Start Wrecking Crew at Griffin’s Reach
Go to the Contract Board at Griffin’s Reach Tradepost and accept Wrecking Crew, a contract in the Scrap Mettle chain issued by Sarem Urchok. Its objective points you to the Alcyon wreck. The contract listing gives a reward of 350 XP and 2,000 Solari; check the live game for the current reward if patch-level accuracy matters. (Dune: Awakening Community Wiki)
Find the Holtzman Amplifier in the Alcyon wreck
Prepare for enemies
The wreck is described as enemy-filled. PC Gamer recommends bringing bandages, a strong weapon, and armor; that is the guide’s advice, not a guarantee that a particular loadout is required. (PC Gamer)
Head to the control room
Move through the ship toward the room at the far end that resembles a bridge. Look for control panels, a desk, and an Arrakis hologram. The search landmark is the containers around the back of this room, beneath a mural near the hologram. Inspect the boxes or case: descriptions vary between guides, so do not rely on a uniquely marked container. (PC Gamer; Dune: Awakening Community Wiki)

Return the amplifier to Sarem Urchok
- Take one Holtzman Amplifier from the container in the control-room area.
- Travel back to Griffin’s Reach Tradepost.
- Deliver the amplifier and contact Sarem Urchok to finish the contract. (Dune: Awakening Community Wiki)
Optional: explore the wreck further
Clearing the Alcyon may also help with the separate Wreck of the Alcyon main quest, and the wreck contains other loot. Neither is required to complete Wrecking Crew. (PC Gamer)
How this contract fits the Scrap Mettle chain
The chain reference lists Copper Required before Wrecking Crew. The community wiki also says Fremen Finds was removed in version 1.5.03.0 for unspecified reasons, so older guides that include it should not be treated as a guaranteed current sequence. A separate story-progression reference updated October 6, 2026 reports version 1.5.3.6, but that does not establish that every detail of this contract was checked against that version.
