To complete Ultimate Strength, accept the side mission from Quinn at the Oilwell Basin Base Camp at Hunter Rank 21 or higher, investigate two monster carcasses, follow Maki’s clue to Akuma, complete the Arena Quest Demonic Strength, then speak to Akuma again. That final conversation closes the mission.
Before you start
You need to be Hunter Rank 21 or higher. At the Oilwell Basin Base Camp, speak with Quinn, the Vespae Unit’s handler, to receive Ultimate Strength. Capcom’s official Monster Hunter Wilds manual notes that side missions can be unavailable depending on game progress or while you are in another quest. If Quinn does not offer it, finish your current quest and check again after progressing the story.

Complete the investigation and find Akuma
- Inspect the Tempered Rathian in Area 5. Travel to Area 5 in the Oilwell Basin’s upper stratum and use the nearby investigation prompt on the carcass.
- Inspect the Tempered Gypceros in Area 11. Go to Area 11 in the middle stratum and investigate its carcass. If available, a nearby camp can shorten the trip.
- Talk to Maki in Azuz. Find her near the forge. Her clue directs you toward the lowest part of the Subterrane.
- Locate Akuma between Areas 16 and 14. Search the small passage connecting those areas in the Oilwell Basin. The Area 14 Mining Cave Pop-up Camp, if available, can make the location easier to reach.

Speak to Akuma to unlock the Arena Quest Demonic Strength, then accept and complete it by defeating the Tempered Ajarakan. The walkthrough source describes the Arena Quest as solo-only; use the current quest description and in-game rules as the authority if they differ.

After the Arena Quest, return to Akuma and talk to him again. Winning the fight alone does not complete Ultimate Strength; the follow-up conversation is the final step.
Mission rewards and Akuma armor materials
Game8 lists the mission rewards as three Dash Juice, ten Demon Powder, three Mega Demondrug, and 300 Guild Points. These are the reported rewards for completing the side mission.
Monster Hunter HQ lists the Akuma armor recipe as five SF6 Tickets, three Ajarakan Scale+, one Ajarakan Jewel+, and 25,000 Zenny. The Arena Quest can be replayed for tickets, but check the current in-game reward display for the latest item rewards and availability.

Capcom’s manual describes an Akuma side mission and exclusive Arena Quests as part of the collaboration. The mission’s key progression is the investigation, the Arena fight, and the return conversation with Akuma.
