Which platforms can play Mortal Kombat 11 online?
Warner Bros. Games announced Mortal Kombat 11 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC at launch. The announcement does not establish current-generation versions or cross-platform play, so do not assume either from the original platform list. Warner Bros. Games’ launch announcement confirms the original releases.

For PC, Steam lists online PvP and a broadband internet connection as requirements, but does not give a numeric minimum speed. Steam’s MK11 support and system requirements provide the listing.
First, work out whether the issue is your connection or the game
- Check other internet services. Open several websites or use another internet-connected app on the same device. If those also fail, troubleshoot your internet connection before focusing on MK11.
- Check service and maintenance notices. Steam players should check Steam service status and WB Games support announcements for planned maintenance. For console players, check the relevant platform’s service status as well as WB Games notices. This article does not establish current live server availability.
- Compare devices and networks. If other devices work but MK11 does not, the problem may be specific to the game, platform, or device. If multiple devices or services fail, start with the home network.
WB Games’ Steam network troubleshooting guide recommends checking service and maintenance status, testing general web access, and restarting the game and computer.

Fix connection problems on Steam
Restart Mortal Kombat 11 and your computer
- Quit Mortal Kombat 11 completely, then launch it again.
- If the connection still fails, shut down and restart your computer. Check for operating system updates and close programs that could affect internet access.
Confirm your Steam account region
WB Games advises that your Steam account region should match your actual geographical region. Its support page says: “Ensure that your Steam account region matches your actual geographical region so that you’re connected to the correct server for your country.” A mismatch may affect connection quality.
Restart your modem and router
- Fully power off your modem and router for at least 30 seconds.
- Check that the modem has an internet connection. If you use a separate router, confirm the modem is connected to the router’s Internet/WAN port.
- Restore power, wait for the devices to finish starting up, then test MK11 again.
These steps follow the official WB Games Steam network guide. It does not specify a numeric broadband speed requirement; do not treat an unverified speed or latency figure as an MK11 requirement.

Use the correct troubleshooting guide on console
Console network steps differ from Steam troubleshooting. WB Games Support lists separate network troubleshooting resources for PlayStation 4, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch in its console technical and troubleshooting section. Open the guide for your platform and follow its instructions. Exact console menu paths and subscription requirements are not established here, so check the official platform and game-support guidance for your setup.
