To contribute to a Major Order in Helldivers 2, check the active Galactic War Campaign at the Control Center terminal aboard your Super Destroyer, then complete missions that match its stated task and target. These are shared community objectives: you do not have to complete the whole order by yourself, and there is no one planet or mission that is always the right choice.
Find the active Major Order and its exact objective
Major Orders have evolved into Galactic War Campaigns. Arrowhead said in June 2026 that Campaigns are intended to make the active campaign, its progress, outcomes, and stakes clearer. The objective can change over time, so use the current in-game Campaign panel rather than a saved screenshot or an external tracker.

For the interface described in June 2026 coverage of patch 6.3.0, use the Control Center terminal opposite the armory aboard the Super Destroyer. Open the ongoing Campaign and read the individual Major Order, including its task and target. Patches can change interface details and conditions, so follow what the current panel shows. Choose missions that match the task
There is no universal planet to play for a Major Order. The correct target and action depend on the live objective: an order may call for liberating or defending a planet, holding territory, or completing another specified task. Select missions that directly support the listed objective and target, then satisfy the requirements shown in game.

An operation links one to three missions, according to PC Gamer’s Major Orders guide. Finishing every mission in an operation maximizes its contribution to planetary liberation or defense. Check the current order before deploying; a mission that does not match its task or target may not advance the goal you intend to support.
Community progress is not a solo completion requirement
A Major Order is a shared objective for the player community. Your qualifying missions add to community progress; you are not expected to fulfill the entire order alone. Arrowhead Game Director Mikael Eriksson described Community Progression as “the community journey and contribution to the Galactic War,” distinct from a player’s personal journey. Keep that separate from Personal Orders and other player progression. A Personal Order is an individual task, while a Campaign’s Major Orders track the community objective; completing one should not be assumed to complete the other.

Campaign rewards are conditional, and the amount or eligibility can vary with the active Campaign. June 2026 coverage of patch 6.3.0 reported that a Campaign reward was available if players won a majority of its Major Orders. Treat that as version-specific guidance, not a permanent rule: check the live Campaign panel for its current conditions and outcome.

War Medals can be earned through gameplay or by completing objectives, and unlock content in Warbonds, according to Arrowhead Player Support. The same support page says Requisitions are awarded for objectives, missions, and operations and can unlock Stratagems through the Ship Management terminal. Do not assume a fixed Medal payout for a particular Major Order unless the live game states it.
