Arc Raiders has two separate storage paths. Buy capacity for the regular Stash from its Expand control in Speranza, and build Outpost furniture for item-specific storage. Furniture designs are learned unlocks rather than ordinary field recipes; inspect each design in the furniture interface for its current material requirements, and visit Celeste for the new furniture materials.
What you are actually upgrading
Your regular Stash holds items brought back from Topside and has a predictable, account-wide capacity track. Outpost furniture is a separate storage route: a rack, shelf, table or cabinet occupies a placement slot and stores the categories described by that piece. Adding a chair or decorative object does not automatically increase the regular Stash.

- Regular Stash: expanded with coins through the Stash screen in Speranza.
- Outpost storage: unlocked and crafted through furniture designs, then placed in the Outpost.
- Field crafting: the Inventory > Crafting tab is for available improvised field items; it is not a universal shortcut to every Outpost furniture recipe.
That distinction matters when deciding what to save. If every extraction ends with a full general inventory, a Stash tier solves the immediate problem. If you mainly want a display area for weapons or a dedicated place for food and crafting components, furniture can be more useful even though it does not alter the Stash counter.

How furniture designs work
Designs are learned unlocks
Furniture was introduced with the Frozen Trail 2.0.0 update dated October 8, 2026. The Arc Raiders Community Wiki reported 100 designs in total in its October 9, 2026 edit, attributing the count to that update. Learning a design unlocks a craftable item for the Outpost; it does not place the item automatically and does not grant regular Stash slots.
#1 Best Overall
| Reported source of designs | Number | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Found Topside | 73 | Discover these while playing and exploring the surface. |
| Outpost upgrades | 22 | Progression through Outpost improvements supplies these unlocks. |
| Frozen Trail Pass | 4 | Pass-linked designs in the wiki’s reported total. |
| Collector Set DLC | 1 | The Retro Sofa design. |
| Total reported | 100 | Community-wiki count; verify the live collection screen after patches. |
The 100-design breakdown is a community reference’s report of Embark’s update, not a guarantee that every design is available in every edition or account state. If your collection shows a different total, use the in-game list and the current patch notes as the authority.
Where to look for designs
Most of the reported collection is found Topside, so do not expect one vendor or one quest to provide the complete set. Outpost upgrades account for another 22 designs, while four are tied to the Frozen Trail Pass and the Retro Sofa is associated with the Collector Set DLC. When a design is missing, first identify which source it belongs to instead of repeatedly searching the same map area.
A design unlock and a finished piece are separate steps. The unlock adds the recipe to your collection, but you still need the listed components, enough furniture placement space and a successful craft. A reward preview, pass track or discovery notification can therefore appear before the item is actually available to place.
Find the recipe and its material requirement
- Travel to your Outpost and open the furniture or Outpost crafting interface. Menu names can change with a patch.
- Browse learned designs and select the piece you want to make.
- Read the design’s material panel before farming or selling anything. The panel is where the current quantity requirement is displayed.
- Gather the missing components, then return to the same design and choose the craft command.
- Place the finished item in an available Outpost furniture slot. Placement space, not regular Stash capacity, determines whether it can be installed.
Use the panel as a shopping list: compare the quantity required with what you own, then check whether Celeste offers any of the new components. This prevents a common mistake—spending a rare part on a different project and discovering that the furniture recipe is still short one item. If the interface provides a preview, use it to check the footprint and the kind of slot it needs before committing materials.
No cited reference publishes a complete list of individual furniture costs. Do not rely on an old spreadsheet or assume that two visually similar pieces use the same components; check the recipe in your current client.
Get the new furniture materials from Celeste
The furniture reference identifies Celeste as the trader for the new materials used to craft furniture. Check her current inventory and exchange terms in-game, then compare those materials with the selected design’s recipe. Because the published reference does not provide per-design costs, the practical rule is to inspect first and spend second.
Her stock is most useful after you have chosen a specific design. Make a short list of the exact components still missing, review Celeste’s offers, and only then decide whether to trade. This approach is safer than buying every new material simply because it is available, particularly when a later Outpost upgrade may require the same resource.
Do not confuse furniture with field crafting
Embark Studios’ Help Center, last updated October 27, 2025, describes the basic field-crafting route:
- Open Inventory while in the field.
- Choose the Crafting tab.
- Review the recipes shown there.
- Use the material filter to narrow the list to items your current supplies support.
That documentation concerns improvised field items. It does not establish that every workshop, Outpost project or furniture design appears in the same tab. For furniture, use the Outpost furniture interface and the design’s own recipe panel.

Furniture progression, Outpost projects and field crafting are different menus and progression tracks.
Expand the regular Stash in Speranza
Exact menu path
- Return to Speranza.
- Open your inventory and switch to the Stash view.
- Select Expand.
- Read the offered coin cost and the slot increase for the next tier.
- Confirm only after checking that the purchase is the tier you want.
AllThingsHow’s guide, updated October 13, 2026, reports that each purchase tier adds 24 slots and that the post-Frozen Trail progression reaches 328 slots at level 12. Frozen Trail changed currencies and tier pricing, so the amount shown in this live panel outranks any printed table.

There are 11 paid steps between the 64-slot starting point and level 12. At 24 slots per step, that is 264 additional base slots, producing the reported 328 total. The arithmetic explains the progression, but it does not lock the price: a patch can change the coin requirement without changing the displayed capacity increment.
Capacity progression
| Stash level | Reported total slots | Reported cost to reach that level |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 64 | Base capacity; no purchase listed |
| 2 | 88 | 5,000 coins |
| 3 | 112 | 10,000 coins |
| 4 | 136 | 15,000 coins |
| 5 | 160 | 25,000 coins |
| 6 | 184 | 40,000 coins |
| 7 | 208 | 60,000 coins |
| 8 | 232 | 90,000 coins |
| 9 | 256 | 130,000 coins |
| 10 | 280 | 300,000 coins |
| 11 | 304 | 750,000 coins |
| 12 | 328 | 1,500,000 coins |
These prices are a dated secondary-source snapshot, not a promise of the amount your account will display. The same guide specifically advises checking the Expand panel before paying. The community stash reference likewise reports 64 base slots and a 328-slot post-2.0.0 ceiling, while noting that its later-tier prices were not published there.
If every listed price were unchanged, buying levels 2 through 12 would cost 2,925,000 coins in total. Treat that figure as a budgeting illustration only. The individual live offer is the reliable number, especially for the expensive level 10, 11 and 12 purchases.
What the 328-slot figure excludes
The 328 figure is the standard progression only. The community reference says it excludes Expedition bonuses and capacity obtained from Nomadic Envoys. It reports 12 additional slots per completed Expedition. Nomadic Envoy offers are described as rotation-dependent, so treat either system as an extra layer rather than part of the level-12 total.
Keep a separate note of these bonuses when comparing screenshots or player accounts. Two players can both be at level 12 and show different usable totals if one has completed Expeditions or received a current Nomadic Envoy offer. That difference does not mean either Stash upgrade path is incomplete.
Use Outpost furniture as a second storage route
Unlock the Sheltered Retreat project
AllThingsHow reports that Outpost storage begins with the three-part Sheltered Retreat project. The following objectives are guide-reported and may change; follow the current project panel if its wording or quantities differ:
- Photograph a farmhouse near the Ruined Homestead in the Farmlands’ Blue Gate.
- Deliver 3 Planks, 5 Sheetmetal, 10 ARC Alloy and 10 Advanced Electrical Components.
- Deal 800 damage to airborne ARC machines.
- Deal 300 damage to a Bully.
The two damage requirements are separate targets even though the guide groups them within the same project. Track them in the project panel rather than assuming damage to one ARC type counts toward the other. Completing the project opens the Outpost route described by the guide. It is not a conversion of your regular Stash; furniture remains a distinct set of storage containers inside the base.

Reported furniture capacities and behavior
| Furniture type | Reported use or capacity | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Weapon rack | Four weapons per rack | Guide-reported capacity. |
| Weapon racks across base and expansion rooms | Up to nine racks, or 36 weapon positions | Guide-reported maximum; confirm available placement slots in your Outpost. |
| Large shelf | Up to eight items | Guide-reported; inspect the furniture description in your version. |
| Tables and cabinets | Trinkets, crafting materials and food | Categories depend on the item’s current description. |
| Crafting materials and Scrappy food in furniture | Reportedly drawn automatically when needed | Verify this behavior with the current item tooltip before relying on it. |
Storage furniture is therefore useful when you want to keep a category organized at the Outpost, but it should not be treated as a free increase to the 328-slot Stash ceiling. A weapon rack can be a convenient display and holding area, while a shelf or cabinet may be better for consumables and components. Select the piece by the category it accepts, not only by its appearance.
The reported nine-rack limit produces 36 weapon positions, but that is a placement example rather than a promise that every layout can fit nine. Expansion rooms, existing objects and the slots available in your current base can reduce what you can install.
Plan rooms before placing them
The same secondary guide says expansion rooms add more furniture slots and cannot be moved or swapped once installed. That point is not corroborated by an official source in the available material, so treat it as a planning warning rather than an immutable rule. If your client presents a confirmation dialog or a room preview, use it before committing. Place high-value storage pieces only after checking which slots the room provides.
Do a layout pass before crafting in bulk. Reserve compatible slots for storage pieces, then use remaining space for purely decorative designs. This avoids tying up materials in furniture you cannot place and makes it easier to test whether automatic drawing works for the categories you use most.
Which storage route should you use?
| Decision point | Regular Stash expansion | Outpost furniture |
|---|---|---|
| How it is unlocked | Buy the next tier from Stash > Expand in Speranza. | Learn a design, gather its listed materials and craft the piece. |
| Primary resource | Coins; the current panel sets the price. | Design-specific materials, including materials traded by Celeste. |
| Capacity model | Predictable 24-slot increments in the cited guide, from 64 to a reported 328. | Item-specific capacity and available furniture-placement slots. |
| Best for | More general room for any items brought home. | Separating weapons, trinkets, food or crafting materials at the Outpost. |
| Extra systems | Expeditions and rotating Nomadic Envoy offers are outside the base total. | Expansion rooms and furniture placement determine how much of this route you can use. |
| Main uncertainty | Prices can change after an update; read the live Expand panel. | Individual recipe costs, capacities and automatic-draw behavior are not fully published and can change. |
Choose the Stash first when you need universal capacity immediately and have coins available. Choose furniture first when your bottleneck is organization, weapon display or a specific category that the Outpost piece accepts. Many players will eventually use both: general slots for unpredictable loot and furniture for stable categories that are easy to find at the base.

When coins are your bottleneck
Buy the next Stash tier when the Expand panel shows a price you can comfortably pay and you regularly return with a full inventory. The first several tiers are much cheaper than the late progression reported by the guide, while levels 10–12 require a large coin reserve. Do not budget from the table alone; the live panel is decisive.
Because every reported tier adds the same 24 slots, compare the immediate benefit with the next price spike. A low-cost early purchase can remove repeated sorting, whereas a late-tier purchase may compete with other coin uses. There is no reason to wait for level 12 before buying useful early capacity.
When materials are your bottleneck
Collect or trade for the components shown on the exact furniture design you intend to craft. Keep rare components until you have checked whether a design or an Outpost project needs them. Celeste’s offers and the design recipe are more useful planning references than a generic list of “furniture materials.”
Do not dismantle or trade a component merely because a field-crafting filter does not show a use for it. The furniture interface may require it even when the Inventory > Crafting tab does not list the design. Recheck the recipe after a patch, since both requirements and menu labels can change.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:

When you are out of placement space
Inspect room and furniture-slot availability before crafting several large pieces. A craft can succeed while placement still fails because the Outpost has no compatible slot. If the interface reports a blocked slot, remove or reposition the obstructing object if the current controls allow it, then try again.
Prioritize storage furniture that matches what you actually bring home. A rack that remains empty does not solve a food or component overflow problem, while a shelf with the right category can reduce repeated Stash sorting. Keep decorative designs for open slots after the functional pieces are installed.

A design does not appear
- Confirm that the design is learned rather than merely seen in a preview or reward list.
- Check whether it comes from Topside discovery, an Outpost upgrade, the Frozen Trail Pass or the Collector Set DLC.
- Restart the Outpost interface after an unlock and check the collection again.
The recipe cost is different from a guide
Use the quantity shown by your current design panel. The cited furniture reference does not publish an individual cost list, and prices or material requirements can change with patches.
A placed object clips or cannot be selected
The furniture reference records version-sensitive reports of furniture clipping through the Outpost structure, a blocking item making a slot unselectable, and a seated Raider clipping through a table. These were described as fixes in progress at the time of reporting, not as permanent behavior. Check current patch notes, reload the Outpost and try a different placement angle or an empty slot before assuming the item is unusable.

Check your current level and distinguish the standard progression from Expedition and Nomadic Envoy bonuses. The 328 figure is the reported level-12 base ceiling; it is not a universal total after every bonus or account-specific offer.
A project objective is not progressing
Read the objective wording literally. The Sheltered Retreat report separates a farmhouse photograph, a material delivery and damage against airborne ARC machines and a Bully. Damage to the wrong target or an item delivered outside the project panel may not count, so confirm the tracker before changing equipment or farming more materials.
Checklist before you spend resources
- Read the live furniture recipe and note every required component.
- Check Celeste’s current material trades.
- Verify that the Outpost has a compatible open placement slot.
- For general capacity, open Stash > Expand in Speranza and read the current price.
- Keep Expedition rewards and Nomadic Envoy offers separate from the base Stash calculation.
- After a patch, recheck room rules, furniture capacities and automatic-draw behavior in the item descriptions.
- Confirm whether a design is a Topside find, an Outpost-upgrade reward, a Frozen Trail Pass item or the Collector Set Retro Sofa.
- Use a project tracker for Sheltered Retreat so its photograph, delivery and combat objectives are completed deliberately.

How much does each Stash upgrade add?
AllThingsHow’s October 13, 2026 guide reports 24 slots per tier. Read the live Expand panel for the current coin price because Frozen Trail revised tier pricing.
What is the reported cost of every Stash tier?
The dated guide reports 5,000, 10,000, 15,000, 25,000, 40,000, 60,000, 90,000, 130,000, 300,000, 750,000 and 1,500,000 coins for levels 2 through 12. These figures are a snapshot; your client’s offer is authoritative.
Can Expeditions give more than 328 Stash slots?
The 328 figure covers the reported level-12 base progression. The community reference reports 12 additional slots per completed Expedition and treats those bonuses separately. Nomadic Envoy capacity offers are also separate and rotation-dependent.
What does the Sheltered Retreat project require?
The secondary guide reports a farmhouse photograph near Ruined Homestead in the Farmlands’ Blue Gate, delivery of 3 Planks, 5 Sheetmetal, 10 ARC Alloy and 10 Advanced Electrical Components, 800 damage to airborne ARC machines and 300 damage to a Bully. Follow the current project panel if it differs.
Do furniture recipes have a published material list?
No complete per-design list is provided. Select the design in the current furniture interface to see its exact requirements, then check Celeste for the new furniture materials before gathering or trading.
How much can Outpost furniture hold?
The guide reports four weapons per rack, up to nine racks or 36 weapon positions across the base and expansion rooms, and up to eight items in larger shelves. Tables and cabinets are reported for trinkets, crafting materials and food. Confirm capacities and accepted categories in your current item descriptions.
Why can’t I select or place a furniture item?
A placement slot may be blocked or unavailable, and version-sensitive reports include clipping through the Outpost structure. Reload the Outpost, try an empty slot or different placement angle, and check current patch notes before assuming the recipe or item is broken.
