Once the Bantam blueprint is learned, craft the revolver at Workshop > Gunsmith using 4 Simple Gun Parts and 4 Mechanical Components. The recipe is available at Gunsmith 1 (Tier 1); the blueprint unlocks the recipe and is not an additional crafting ingredient.

If the recipe is missing, the usual cause is that the blueprint was found but never learned, or that the character has not returned to Speranza after extracting it. The station and material requirements above are the complete listed recipe.

What to do with a found Bantam blueprint
Finding a blueprint is not the same as learning it. A blueprint picked up during a run must survive the extraction and be processed in Speranza before the Gunsmith can show the recipe.

Keep the Bantam blueprint in your inventory and successfully leave the expedition. A blueprint that is lost before extraction does not unlock the recipe. General blueprint guidance also covers scavenging, trials, quests and projects as possible ways to obtain blueprints, but every found blueprint still requires a successful extraction before it can be learned.

2. Return to Speranza
After the run, open your inventory in Speranza and locate the Bantam blueprint. Do not go straight to the Gunsmith expecting a found item to activate automatically; the learn action is a separate step.
3. Select the learn or consume action
Highlight the blueprint and choose the inventory action that learns or consumes it. Confirm the prompt. The item is consumed when the recipe is learned, and the Bantam becomes an available Gunsmith recipe on that account. Consuming the blueprint is therefore the intended unlock process, not an accidental loss of a reusable crafting component.
How to craft the Bantam at the Gunsmith
- Enter the Workshop in Speranza.
- Open the Gunsmith station.
- Make sure the station is at Gunsmith 1, the Tier 1 level required by the listed recipe.
- Choose the learned Bantam recipe.
- Confirm that your inventory contains the two required material types in the listed quantities.
- Select craft and confirm the transaction. One Bantam is produced and the materials are removed.
No higher Gunsmith tier is identified as necessary in the current references for this recipe. If a future patch changes the station requirement, the live station panel is the authority: use the tier and material values displayed in your current game client.

Simple Gun Parts
The Bantam requires four Simple Gun Parts for one craft. The recipe checks the item type, so having other gun-part categories does not substitute for Simple Gun Parts.

Mechanical Components
The second requirement is four Mechanical Components. These are a separate material category from Simple Gun Parts and must be present alongside them when you press craft.
The blueprint is not a ninth ingredient
After learning, the blueprint no longer needs to remain in your inventory for each craft. The unlock changes the station recipe list; each subsequent Bantam uses the two material types shown in the recipe panel.
If you still need the Bantam blueprint
There are two practical approaches: research a blueprint through the listed Research Station route, or search during expeditions and extract any blueprint you find. They differ in certainty.

Research costs and station offers are live-game values and can change with a patch. Open the Bantam Blueprint entry in your own Research Station before spending resources; if the displayed cost differs, use the current in-game value.
Looting during expeditions
Current guide coverage does not identify a guaranteed Bantam room, map, container, or drop rate. The blueprint may appear in random containers or weapon cases, but that is guidance about possible sources rather than a fixed spawn promise. Plan for repeated searches instead of routing to a supposedly guaranteed location.
General blueprint information mentions scavenging, trials, quests and projects as possible sources. Those are system-level possibilities, not confirmation that every source can award the Bantam blueprint in every version or activity. Whatever source produces it, extraction is still required before the blueprint can be learned.
Choosing between research and looting

Research gives you a known listed exchange, while looting can conserve research resources but depends on an uncertain find. Neither route bypasses the learn step in Speranza.

Why you may want the Bantam
Guide descriptions characterize the Bantam as a short-barrel revolver with good handling and damage but lower accuracy, control and range. It uses Heavy Ammo and is presented as an early-game, Anvil-like hand-cannon option for close-range Raider fights. These are guide-level evaluations rather than controlled numerical tests, so treat them as role guidance instead of a promise of exact performance values.
Close-range role
The weapon’s profile favors engagements where you can stay near the target and make its damage and handling work for you. Long sightlines expose the limitations in accuracy, control and range identified in those descriptions.
Heavy Ammo planning
Because the Bantam uses Heavy Ammo, add ammunition planning to the material check before a run. Crafting the revolver does not automatically solve your ammunition supply; make sure the loadout and your expected fight distance match the weapon’s role.

Relation to the Anvil
The Bantam is commonly framed as an early-game alternative with a similar hand-cannon idea, not as a numerically proven equivalent. The available coverage does not provide a controlled, side-by-side performance test, so choose based on the role you need rather than an assumed damage or accuracy ranking.

Troubleshooting a missing Bantam recipe
The blueprint is in my inventory but the Gunsmith shows nothing
Check whether you completed the learn or consume action in Speranza. Merely carrying a found blueprint does not unlock its recipe. If you have not extracted with it yet, it also cannot be learned.
The learn option is unavailable
Confirm that the blueprint came back with you from the expedition. A blueprint lost before extraction cannot be processed. Return to the inventory screen in Speranza and select the item itself rather than opening the Gunsmith first.
The Gunsmith says I cannot craft
Open the Bantam recipe panel and compare your inventory with both listed material categories. The recipe requires the exact Simple Gun Parts and Mechanical Components entries, and both quantities must be available at the same time.
The station requirement looks higher than expected
The current references place the recipe at Gunsmith 1. If your client displays another tier, follow the live station requirement because a patch may have changed the recipe. Do not spend resources upgrading blindly; first read the requirement shown on the Bantam’s own panel.
The Research Station cost is different
Research offers can change independently of the crafting recipe. Check the Bantam Blueprint entry at Research Station 1 immediately before confirming an exchange and use the displayed cost in your version.
I cannot find a reliable blueprint location
That is consistent with the current guidance: no fixed Bantam spawn is confirmed. Search containers and weapon cases as part of normal scavenging, and treat location lists that claim certainty cautiously. A random find is only useful if you extract with it.
A complete first-craft checklist
- You have learned the Bantam blueprint in Speranza rather than merely carrying it.
- The Workshop’s Gunsmith station is open.
- The station meets the recipe’s Gunsmith 1 requirement.
- Your inventory contains four Simple Gun Parts.
- Your inventory contains four Mechanical Components.
- You have planned for Heavy Ammo if you intend to take the revolver into a run.
- You have reviewed the live recipe panel in case a recent patch changed a requirement.
Short answer
Learn the extracted Bantam blueprint in Speranza, open Workshop > Gunsmith, select the recipe at Gunsmith 1, and spend four Simple Gun Parts plus four Mechanical Components. If you do not own the blueprint, Research Station 1 currently lists one for 3,000 Research Points and 8 Hornet Drivers, while expedition loot has no confirmed fixed spawn.
