Shadowpelt is in Whistler’s Maw Abandoned Auger Mine, in Cuspid Climb, Terminus Range. The mine becomes accessible after you complete the Shadow of the Mountain main mission. The encounter is optional.

How to beat Shadowpelt
Break its shield with Shock
When Shadowpelt’s shield is active, the boss turns invisible. Prioritize Shock damage to break the shield and make it visible again. Its shield can reactivate after it takes damage, so watch for the invisibility to return and use Shock again.
Keep clear of projectile impact zones
Shadowpelt fires multiple projectiles that produce area blasts when they land. Stay mobile and move away from their impact zones instead of lingering near them.

Choose damage elements with the shield in mind
The encounter guide lists both Shock and Incendiary as weaknesses, but specifically recommends Shock for breaking the shield. It gives no quantified comparison between the elements or weapon types, so there is no established damage ranking beyond that tactical use.
