To defeat Banshee in the standard Elegant Dance challenge, build for the highest Elegant score you can manage, favoring Formal-tagged pieces when they improve that score. First unlock the Breezy Meadow clue trail, then meet Banshee at Shimmer Pond between 22:00 and 04:00. Guides put a Perfect result at roughly 45,000–46,000 points; your in-game rating is the deciding measure.
Make sure you are facing the standard challenge
This walkthrough covers Banshee’s standard faction challenge, Elegant Dance. It is separate from the later Sovereign rematch, which player guides describe as having different requirements and much higher score targets. Check the encounter name and listed category requirements in your quest or menu before using advice for a particular fight. Do not apply rematch conditions, including player-reported Linlang requirements, to the standard encounter.
Unlock Banshee and find her
- Defeat the Breezy Meadow styling factions. Game8 says Banshee’s clues become available after defeating Anraki of the Rangers; other guides describe clearing all the area’s factions as the prerequisite. If the clue has not appeared, continue clearing the factions. Game8’s Banshee guide
- Continue “Sovereign’s Challenge! The Night of Elegance.” Ask Dada at the Stylist’s Guild for information, then follow the clue trail toward Banshee. The quest record requires a Perfect rating for quest completion, even though the standard challenge awards its medal for a lower winning rating. Night of Elegance quest record
- Go to Shimmer Pond in Breezy Meadow at night. Guides place Banshee’s appearance window at 22:00–04:00. If she is not there, use the Pear-Pal time control or wait for that window. Game8 and Gamezebo
How to get a Perfect score
Prioritize Elegant score, then Formal
The standard theme is Elegant Dance, and Banshee prefers the Formal tag. Start with the wardrobe pieces that give you the strongest displayed Elegant score; use Formal-tagged items where they add to the result. A full matching set is not automatically better than a mix of your strongest scoring pieces.
Upgrade what contributes to the score
Guides recommend upgrading Elegant outfits and suitable Eurekas. They mention Wind of Purity, Fairytale Swan, and Breezy Tea Time as possible outfit options, not guaranteed solutions. The best choice depends on what you own and how far it is upgraded. Siliconera’s outfit advice

- Try your strongest available Elegant pieces first, giving preference to Formal-tagged pieces when they help the total.
- Upgrade the items that contribute most to your displayed Elegant score; improve suitable Eurekas as well.
- After a duel, inspect the score details, then replace or upgrade the slots that underperformed.
- If you are short of Perfect, strengthen your current outfit before spending resources on a new set just for this challenge.
What score do you need, and what does each rating award?
Guide estimates differ slightly: Game8 reports a Perfect target of 46,000 points, while Siliconera puts it at about 45,000. These are guide-published gameplay figures, not official published statistics; treat them as a rough target and check the rating shown in your own game.
