You can clear the chat window in some Roblox experiences, but Roblox’s player-facing help does not document a way to delete or unsend a message you have already sent. The documented /clear command clears your local chat window history; it is not described as removing the message from anyone else’s view. For unwanted contact, adjust communication settings or block the user. If a message breaks Roblox rules, report the specific message or chat.
Can you delete a sent Roblox chat message?
Roblox’s player-facing help does not document a user-facing control for deleting or unsending an already-sent message. That means you should not assume you can retract it or remove it from another participant’s view. The documentation also does not establish whether a message can be removed from every participant’s history or from Roblox’s systems.
In an experience, chat ends when you leave that experience, according to Roblox Support. Ending the chat session is different from deleting messages already sent.
Clear the chat window in an experience
In experiences that support the documented command, enter /clear in chat. Roblox Creator Hub describes it as clearing “the local chat window history.” That clears the display on your side; the documentation does not say it retracts a message or erases it for other players.

If the command is unavailable in an experience, the documentation does not establish a universal alternative for clearing that experience’s chat window. Leaving the experience ends its chat session.
Stop or limit contact from another user
If your goal is to prevent further unwanted communication, use Roblox’s communication settings or block the person. Blocking prevents direct contact between the two users. Roblox’s chat and privacy features can also limit who can communicate with you; available controls may depend on your account and region.

Why chat controls may differ between accounts
Roblox says chat features require an age check, and availability can depend on age group and region. Its current guidance says users aged 5–9 need parental consent to enable experience chat, and users under 16 need parental consent to enable Direct chat. Additional regional restrictions may apply, and Roblox notes that menu labels and rollouts can vary by region. Check the account’s current communication settings; Roblox’s chat guidance explains the age and regional caveats.
