Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsYou can save a Medal clip through the Medal Desktop app, a public Medal link, or the official Android and iPhone/iPad apps. The correct method depends on whether the clip is already published: an unpublished clip is already stored on your computer, so you should open its file location instead of downloading it from the web.
Download a published clip in the Medal Windows app
- Open the Medal Desktop app.
- Go to the Clip Library.
- Find the published clip, then right-click it.
- Select Download Clip.
- Choose the standard download option. If your account is eligible, you may also see Without Watermark & Outro.
- Confirm Download Clip.
The resulting file is typically an MP4, although its codec, resolution, frame rate, and audio layout depend on the original recording and upload settings. Check Medal’s configured storage location or your Windows Downloads folder. See Medal’s official download instructions.

Find an unpublished Medal clip on Windows
An unpublished clip has not been uploaded to Medal’s servers. The video already exists on your computer, so downloading it through the website is unnecessary.
- Open Medal and go to the Clip Library.
- Right-click the unpublished clip.
- Select Open File Location.
- Copy the highlighted video to another folder or an external drive if you want a backup.
This method preserves the local source file and avoids cloud availability, account, or server-generated watermark issues.

Can you download a Medal clip without a watermark?
There are several different files people call a “Medal clip,” and they do not all have the same watermark rules:
Recommended Free Tools
- Original unpublished file: This is the local recording found with Open File Location. A server download has not altered it.
- Your published clip: Medal’s support policy says free users can download their own published clips, while Premium enables removal of author watermarks and outros where that option is available.
- Another creator’s clip: Medal’s support documentation restricts watermark-free downloading of another user’s clip to the original uploader. Premium does not transfer ownership or permission to remove someone else’s attribution.
Medal’s marketing pages use broader “no watermark” language, so the support policy is the safer guide for edge cases. Do not remove creator attribution from someone else’s work, and credit the uploader when you have permission to reuse a clip. See Medal’s author-watermark policy and Premium page.

Do you need Medal Premium?
No, ordinary clip downloading does not require Premium. Free users can download, edit, upload, share, and access posted clips. Premium is mainly relevant if you need author-watermark or outro removal, expanded cloud features, higher-quality or longer uploads, subtitles, or ad removal.
Medal stated on June 17, 2026 that Premium remained $9.99 per month or $7.99 per month with annual billing. Treat that as a dated price signal: verify the currency, taxes, billing term, and current price at checkout.
Which method should you use?
| Situation | Best method |

What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Why is the Download button missing?
Try these checks in order:
- Determine whether the clip is unpublished. If it is, use Open File Location in the Windows app.
- Refresh the public clip page and wait for the player to finish loading.
- Try the browser-specific method for Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.
- Try the official Medal mobile app instead of a mobile browser.
- Confirm that you are signed in to the account that owns the clip.
- Temporarily check whether a browser extension, pop-up blocker, or privacy setting is interfering with the player.
- If the clip is private, deleted, unlisted, cloud-only, or expired, ask the owner to send the file or make it accessible.
Do not give your Medal credentials to third-party “Medal downloader” websites, and do not use tools intended to bypass privacy controls or extract hidden media URLs. If you own the clip and it has disappeared, contact Medal Support.

What if the downloaded file will not play?
- Confirm the download completed and is not a partial temporary file.
- Check the file extension and size.
- Try opening it in another current media player.
- Download it again using the browser’s own video download control.
- If it opened in a browser tab, use Save Video As rather than saving the webpage.
- For a local clip, return to the original file with Open File Location.
Medal clips commonly use MP4, but there is no single guaranteed codec, resolution, or frame rate for every capture and export.
Where are Medal clips saved?
- Windows browser: Usually the browser’s Downloads folder, unless you selected another location.
- Windows Desktop app: The storage location configured in Medal, or the folder selected in the export window.
- Android: Downloads, Download Manager, Files, or the gallery.
- iPhone or iPad: Photos or Files, depending on the permission and save path you chose.
There is no universal path that applies to every Medal version, account, device, or custom storage setting.
Can you repost a downloaded Medal clip?
A public download is not automatically permission to repost, monetize, or include the clip in a compilation. Ask the creator first, preserve attribution, and follow the destination platform’s rules. Premium or a download button does not grant ownership of another user’s content.
