Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsThe PC release of Mortal Kombat 9 is titled Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition. It was removed from Steam sales in 2020, and the available sources do not confirm an authorized way to buy a new PC copy now. Check Steam’s official listing and WB Games support for any change; if you already own it, check the Steam account that holds your license.
Find the PC edition by its official name
Search Steam for Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition, not just “Mortal Kombat 9.” Valve announced the PC edition’s Steam release on July 3, 2013. Steam’s listing identifies the game and provides its support and system information, but an existing page does not mean a new copy is for sale.
Check whether you can get it through Steam
GameSpot reported on March 22, 2020, that the game had been removed from Steam sales at the publisher’s request. The report quoted the store notice: “At the request of the publisher, Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition is no longer available for sale on Steam.” That notice did not explain the reason for removal. Read GameSpot’s report.
- Open the official Steam store page and check whether it offers a purchase in your region. Availability may change, so confirm it directly rather than relying on old listings or reports.
- If you already own a valid Steam license, sign in to the account that owns it and look for the game in your Library. The Steam support page identifies the product, but cannot confirm whether a particular account has a license.
- If it is missing from your account or the store does not offer it, use the support route on Steam’s page or contact WB Games support. The sources here do not establish a supported new PC download route in that situation.
Avoid unofficial downloads and account offers
Do not download executable installers from file-sharing sites or pay for access to someone else’s Steam account. The cited sources do not establish that unofficial copies or account transfers are authorized or safe, nor do they verify that a third-party key is legitimate or redeemable.

WB Games’ agreement, hosted through Steam, says, “The Game is licensed, not sold.” It describes a conditional license to download and install the software on a personally owned PC for noncommercial entertainment. Read the WB Games EULA.
Steam’s published PC requirements
Steam lists the following legacy specifications for Komplete Edition. They are the game’s published requirements, not a modern compatibility test or a guarantee that it will work on a particular current PC.
