The free Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 demo is listed as DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 Lite in the US PlayStation Store. On PS4 or PS5, open its product page and select Add to Library. The store labels it a game trial. Availability on Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC is not confirmed here, so check those platforms’ official stores for the exact Lite title before expecting a demo download.
Download Xenoverse 2 Lite on PS4 or PS5
- Open the PlayStation Store on your PS4 or PS5, or visit the US PlayStation Store listing.
- Search for DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 Lite. Searching for the full game may also show Lite among the editions.
- Open the Lite product page and confirm it is marked Free Trial.
- Select Add to Library and follow the console prompts to download and install it.
- If you cannot find the listing, check that you are signed in to the intended PlayStation account and are viewing the correct store region. The confirmed listing is for the US store; availability in other regions has not been established.
Downloading and playing the trial offline is distinct from accessing online matches. The store says online play is optional, but PS Plus is required for online play.

What the free Lite trial includes
According to the PlayStation Store, Lite includes the first five episodes of Story Mode, online matches, and all Hero Colosseum content. Bandai Namco describes it as a trial of the early stages of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. The store also says Lite save data can transfer to the full game. Some features are restricted unless you purchase the full version.
Can you download the demo on Xbox, Switch, or PC?
The confirmed free-trial listing in the US is for PS4 and PS5. Bandai Namco lists the full game on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Steam, but full-game availability does not confirm that a Lite trial is offered on those platforms. The Steam listing is for the full game, not evidence of a separate demo.

Lite is a free way to sample the opening Story Mode and its listed features. The paid full game is required for features restricted in the trial. If you decide to continue, the PlayStation Store says Lite save data can transfer to the full game. The full game and its DLC are separate purchases; neither is required to download the Lite trial.
