Crossplay is built into the standard version of Among Us on Xbox—there is no separate crossplay switch identified in Innersloth’s instructions. Launch the standard game and create or join an online lobby to play with friends on supported mobile, console, and PC versions. If Xbox blocks multiplayer or play with people outside Xbox Live, check the account’s privacy and online-safety permissions.
How to play cross-platform on Xbox
- Launch the standard version of Among Us on Xbox. The Xbox listing identifies support for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S: Among Us for Xbox.
- Create or join an online lobby, then invite or meet up with friends playing the standard game on mobile, console, or PC. Innersloth says console online lobbies support 4–15 players; its official announcement describes crossplay between console and other platforms: Innersloth’s Xbox and PlayStation announcement.
Innersloth’s Help Center confirms that players can play together across mobile, console, and PC: Is Among Us crossplay? Crossplay is not the same as account linking, and no additional linking step is presented as necessary to join a cross-platform game.

If Xbox won’t let you join or play online
Xbox privacy or online-safety settings can restrict multiplayer, communication, or play with people outside Xbox Live. Ask the account holder—or a parent or guardian for a child account—to review the relevant Xbox settings. Innersloth says to allow these permissions:

Check the Xbox online-multiplayer requirement
According to the Xbox store listing accessed October 8, 2026, online multiplayer on console requires Xbox Game Pass Essential, Premium, or Ultimate. Subscription names and terms can change, so check the listing for your region and account before troubleshooting the game itself: Among Us on Xbox.
Crossplay is not account linking
Account linking combines progression and cosmetics across supported platforms; it is a separate feature from joining a cross-platform lobby. Innersloth’s account guide lists Xbox, PC, Android, and iOS as platforms for linking, says PlayStation cannot link, and described Switch linking as in progress when that article was published. Among Us VR is a separate game
