To evolve Bisharp into Kingambit in Pokémon GO, make Bisharp your Buddy, defeat 15 Dark- or Steel-type Pokémon in Raid Battles, and have 100 Pawniard Candy. Bisharp does not need to defeat the raid Pokémon. Once the task and Candy requirement are met, open Bisharp’s summary and tap Evolve.
What you need to evolve Bisharp
- A Bisharp set as your Buddy while you complete the raid task.
- 15 defeats of Dark- or Steel-type Pokémon in Raid Battles. The target’s type matters; the requirement is not 15 raids against any Pokémon.

The official Pokémon GO announcement says Bisharp must be your Buddy for the task, but does not have to deliver the defeating blow. It does not specify that Bisharp must be in the raid party. Pokémon GO’s Crown Clash announcement

How to complete the evolution
- Choose the Bisharp you intend to evolve. Set that Pokémon as your Buddy.
- Complete qualifying Raid Battles. Defeat Dark- or Steel-type Pokémon in raids until the task reaches 15 defeats. Wild encounters, Team GO Rocket battles, and battles in other modes do not match the published requirement.
- Check the task and Candy. Open Bisharp’s details page to see its evolution-task progress and confirm you have 100 Pawniard Candy. Niantic says species-specific evolution tasks appear on the Pokémon details page.
- Evolve Bisharp. When the task is complete and the Candy requirement is met, open its summary and tap Evolve.
When does raid progress count?
The published instructions do not establish whether defeats from before Bisharp became your Buddy count retroactively. To avoid relying on unconfirmed progress, keep the Bisharp you plan to evolve as your Buddy while completing the 15 qualifying raid defeats, then check the task on its details page.
Finding a qualifying raid
The requirement is based on the raid Pokémon’s type, not a specific boss or event. Raid lineups change, so check the live rotation for a Dark- or Steel-type target. The task calls for defeating qualifying Pokémon in Raid Battles; it does not say Bisharp itself must participate or win the battle.

Do you need an evolution item?
No evolution item is listed as a requirement in the published method. The documented conditions are the Buddy raid task and the Pawniard Candy cost. Start from Bisharp—Pawniard is not the Pokémon you evolve directly into Kingambit.
