To evolve Pancham into Pangoro in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, level it to 32 or higher while a Pokémon with the Dark type is in your party. If it does not evolve when Pancham reaches level 32, keep a Dark-type teammate in your party and level Pancham up again.
Steps to evolve Pancham into Pangoro
- Add a Dark-type Pokémon to your party. Sandile or Sableye are suggested earlier options; Absol is another option later in the game. A dual-type Pokémon qualifies as long as one of its types is Dark. Game8’s Pancham guide names the suggested Pokémon, while Shacknews confirms the Dark-type party condition.
- Raise Pancham to level 32. It must reach or pass that level while the Dark-type Pokémon remains in your party.
- If it does not evolve, check your party and level Pancham again. Confirm that the Dark-type teammate is still there, then trigger another level-up. The evolution may not appear automatically at the threshold, according to the guides above.
Where to find Pancham
Game8 reports Pancham in Wild Zone 3, which unlocks after Main Mission 5. The guide does not establish exact encounter details for the named Dark-type options, so check the areas available in your game if you need to catch one.

What Pancham evolves into
Pancham evolves into Pangoro, a Fighting- and Dark-type Pokémon. The official Pokédex entry lists Pangoro as Pancham’s evolution and confirms Pangoro’s typing; the level and party requirement above comes from the game guides. The Pokémon Company’s official game site states that Pokémon Legends: Z-A is available now.
