There is no single confirmed fix for every multiplayer-lag case; use the symptom to choose what to test.
Identify what “lagging” looks like
In Sniper Elite: Resistance, online play can involve network conditions and your PC’s rendering performance. These checks help separate the two; they do not establish the cause of an individual player’s problem.
- Connection symptoms: Other players teleport or jump around, your actions arrive late, or you are disconnected. Check whether the issue follows a particular host or session.
- Local performance symptoms: The whole image stutters, the frame rate drops, or controls feel sluggish even when other players appear stable. Compare your PC with the published requirements.
Note whether the issue occurs only in multiplayer, with one host, on one map, or in other games too. Record your platform and storefront, PC specifications, connection type, and whether the session uses a player host or a dedicated server.
Check the PC requirements for visual stutter or low FPS
Rebellion’s published minimum PC requirements are Windows 10 or later, an Intel Core i5-9400f or AMD equivalent, 16 GB of memory, a DirectX 12-capable graphics card with 6 GB of dedicated VRAM, and 90 GB of storage. See Rebellion’s minimum requirements. Meeting these minimums is not a guarantee of smooth multiplayer performance.

Storage figures differ by source: Rebellion lists 90 GB, while Steam’s listing says 95 GB available and names example graphics cards. Check the storefront where you own the game for its current storage requirement rather than treating those figures as interchangeable.
Test connection symptoms before changing settings
If you play on Wi-Fi and see teleporting, delayed actions, or disconnections, try Ethernet if practical and compare the same kind of session. That is a general diagnostic suggestion, not a confirmed Rebellion fix: the cited Capcom network guide is for Resident Evil Resistance, not this game.

Change one condition at a time and note whether the symptom changes. If it happens only with one host or session, include that detail in your report; it can help distinguish a host-related pattern from a problem that follows your PC. The available guidance does not validate port-forwarding or router-security changes for this issue, so do not apply those changes based on the other game’s guide.
Use Rebellion’s PC troubleshooting steps
If your PC meets the published requirements but performance problems persist, Rebellion’s general PC troubleshooting guidance asks players to provide a DxDiag report and suggests checking the game’s file integrity or reinstalling it. Follow the steps in Rebellion’s troubleshooting article. These are general support steps, not a confirmed multiplayer-lag cure.

A hardware upgrade is not a useful first recommendation without knowing your specifications and establishing that local performance is the limiting factor.
Report a reproducible problem
For a problem you can reproduce, send a report through Rebellion Support. Rebellion asks bug reporters to include the platform, what happened, where it happened, what occurred beforehand, and useful screenshots or video. For a multiplayer lag report, also make the symptom and circumstances clear.

- Describe whether you saw teleporting, delayed actions, disconnections, stutter, low FPS, or sluggish input.
- Give the map or mission, frequency, and the action immediately before the issue.
- Include your platform or storefront, relevant PC specifications, connection type, and whether the session was player-hosted or on a dedicated server.
- Attach a clip or screenshot if it helps show what happened, and include any visible error.
Consider a dedicated server only for a hosting-related problem
Rebellion says players can run a Sniper Elite: Resistance server through its Nitrado partnership. Its FAQ explains that a dedicated server acts as a host without relying on a player’s personal internet connection to host others, and directs server-related questions to Nitrado support. This is an optional route for a group investigating host-related trouble, not a guaranteed fix for client-side frame drops or problems elsewhere in the connection path. Rebellion’s hosting FAQ describes the intended benefit, but does not establish that a dedicated server will resolve every player’s lag.

Is multiplayer lag a known game-wide issue?
Rebellion’s patch notes include dated updates and multiplayer-specific fixes, but the available official information does not confirm a current game-wide multiplayer-lag issue or a patch that fixes every player’s case. Avoid assuming your symptoms are a known bug; report them with enough detail for support to investigate.
