One current route guide advises skipping nature-focused locations and machines in research facilities when sheet metal is the specific goal. Make the supermarket your first Pendola Pass check when the route is practical from your starting position. Begin with shelves, because that is the specific search point highlighted in current reporting. Expand to adjacent tables, lockers, crates and other industrial-looking loot objects before leaving. If the supermarket produces little, continue to Old Town or Almaterra Station rather than abandoning the raid after one empty room.
Old Town and Almaterra Station
These locations function as follow-up stops on Pendola Pass. Old Town is worth treating as a broad urban-industrial sweep: search interiors and storage objects instead of checking only a single building. At Almaterra Station, include train seats in the search pattern; they are easy to overlook when moving quickly through the station. Because loot is random, the order can be reversed when your spawn or intended extraction route makes one location substantially closer.
Loading Bay on Stella Montis
The ARC Raiders Hub guide, updated October 12, 2026, recommends going directly to Loading Bay. Its described pattern is to search shelves in open shipping containers and then check breachable containers. The same guide reports that a player named Nafburger collected 61 sheet metal in one raid. That number is a single reported run, not a controlled sample, published drop rate or normal expectation. Treat it as evidence that the location can produce a large haul, not as a promise that every run will resemble it.

A practical sheet-metal farming procedure
The following procedure turns the route reports into a repeatable decision process without assuming a fixed spawn table.
- Confirm the actual requirement. Open the project, crafting or upgrade screen that needs sheet metal and note the quantity still missing. Requirements can change with the active project, and the available guides do not establish one universal amount.
- Pick the map that minimizes unnecessary travel. Choose Pendola Pass when the Commissary Supermarket, Old Town or Almaterra Station fits your planned path. Choose Stella Montis when Loading Bay is reachable without a detour that would consume the raid’s useful time or expose you to avoidable danger.
- Set a search order before entering the first building. At the supermarket, use shelves first. At Loading Bay, use open-container shelves first, followed by breachable containers. At Almaterra Station, add train seats to the route. A predetermined order prevents you from wandering between low-priority objects.
- Search every relevant object once. Sweep shelves, tables, crates, lockers, cars, train seats and tool trolleys as they appear along the route. Do not assume a visually identical object has the same contents in every raid; the guides describe random loot.
- Keep the route industrial. If the next branch leads toward natural scenery or research-facility machines, skip it when sheet metal is the objective. Continue toward another industrial or commercial cluster instead.
- Reassess after the first cluster. If the opening area is empty, continue to the next named stop on Pendola Pass or complete the Loading Bay container sweep. If you already have enough for the active project, weigh the value of carrying more against the risk and travel of extending the raid.

How to search faster without missing likely spawns
Use a fixed visual scan
Scan in the same direction through each room or container: shelves, tables, floor-level crates, lockers, then vehicles or seats. A consistent sequence reduces backtracking and makes it less likely that a small loose-loot pickup is hidden behind a larger object. The sources identify object types, but they do not document a special interaction, sound cue or color code that guarantees sheet metal.

An indoor room is not automatically a good sheet-metal room. Give priority to storage, loading, transport and commercial spaces where the reported objects naturally occur. A decorative room with no shelves, lockers, tables or vehicles is a poor use of search time even if it is technically inside a named location.
Use route proximity as an efficiency multiplier
The same location can be efficient for one raid and inefficient for another if it requires a long cross-map detour. Compare the distance to your current position and intended extraction path, not just the location’s reputation. The available evidence does not measure time per item, so the best route for you is the one that produces useful searches while keeping travel and exposure under control.
Do not reset your expectations after one empty container

Farming versus buying from Celeste
Searching is not the only option. Celeste reportedly sells sheet metal, giving you a way to exchange Seeds for progress when a raid is inconvenient or your project is short by a small amount. PC Gamer’s October 9, 2026 guide says players could spend 24 Seeds to buy the materials needed for the Sheltered Retreat project. The wording describes that project’s purchase total, not a verified universal price for one sheet-metal unit.

Checking only one object type

Assuming 61 is a normal Loading Bay result
Problem: You plan your inventory or project schedule around collecting 61 every raid.
Fix: Interpret 61 as a reported one-run haul by Nafburger in the ARC Raiders Hub guide. Use it as a reason to test Loading Bay, not as a drop-rate statistic.
Using the 24-Seed figure as a universal price
Problem: You spend Seeds expecting the exact Sheltered Retreat purchase to apply to another project.
