The fastest reliable way to level up in Battlefield 6 is to combine objective play, useful squad and class actions, and combat in matches you can finish. Before you queue, check your Daily and Weekly Challenges and decide which progression track you want: Career Rank, a weapon or vehicle, or the Battle Pass. There is no official, comparable XP-per-minute ranking that proves one mode is always fastest, and custom Portal farms can change or stop working.
Choose the progression track you want to advance
Battlefield 6 has separate progression tracks, so earning one kind of XP does not automatically level everything.
- Career Rank: Career XP advances your overall rank. Match actions, objectives, and match completion contribute.
- Weapons and vehicles: Weapon XP advances the weapon or vehicle you use. Kills and assists count, and EA says active use also grants Weapon and Vehicle XP.
- Battle Pass: Career XP advances the pass over time, while Weekly Challenges can award Battle Pass Points. Seasonal pass terms and challenge rewards can change.
If you are working on a specific weapon or vehicle, equip it and actively use it while doing actions that also help your team. That lets your match contribute to more than one goal without relying on idle farming.
What should I do during a match to earn XP efficiently?
Prioritize actions that combine team value with progression. Capturing or defending objectives puts you in the action, while class abilities and squad play provide additional opportunities to earn XP. The exact opportunities depend on your class, mode, and the match.

- Play around objectives: capture, defend, and help your team hold ground.
- Revive teammates and stay close enough to your squad to benefit from squad spawns.
- As Support, resupply allies; as Engineer, repair allied vehicles.
- Spot enemies when you can, and contribute damage, kills, and assists.
- For weapon or vehicle progress, actively use the specific item you want to advance while taking part in these actions.
EA lists these kinds of actions as XP-bearing, but does not publish a universal action-by-action XP-per-minute ranking. Chasing eliminations at the expense of objectives is not an established faster route.
Finish matches and check challenges before you queue
Match completion grants a bonus influenced by time spent in the match and its result. Leaving early can therefore mean giving up part of the reward. Challenges can provide fixed XP or Battle Pass Points, so check the current in-game Daily and Weekly Challenge display before choosing a mode or loadout.

Challenge conditions and rewards have changed over time. Treat the live challenge text as authoritative rather than relying on an old guide or a remembered requirement. If a challenge fits a mode and loadout you already want to play, completing it can make that match more productive.
What is the best mode to farm XP?
There is no supported single answer for every player or progression goal. EA has adjusted progression across modes: its Update 1.2.3.0 notes say Multiplayer XP rates increased slightly, while REDSEC Battle Royale and Gauntlet progression put more weight on time in a match. The notes do not establish that one mode gives the best XP per minute.

Choose the mode where you can consistently participate, complete matches, play objectives, and meet current challenges. For weapon or vehicle progress, also consider whether the mode gives you reliable opportunities to use that item. Your challenge fit and ability to finish a match matter more than an unsupported claim that a particular mode is always the fastest.
Does Portal give full XP in Battlefield 6?
EA’s progression overview says verified community experiences grant full XP progression. That distinction matters: do not assume every custom Portal experience has the same progression rules or completion bonus. Check an experience’s current status and the game’s rules before joining, since custom experiences and their reward treatment can change.

EA has also addressed XP-farming servers because they occupied community server capacity and affected discovery. A particular farm’s rate or continued availability is not guaranteed. Prefer legitimate, active play in experiences whose progression status is clear instead of relying on idle or bot-based methods.

EA’s progression overview describes multiple 15-minute boosts awarded at early Career Ranks for Career XP and Battle Pass XP. Rewards and inventory can change, so check the current UI to confirm which track a boost affects. Activate it when you are ready to play; do not assume it reduces challenge requirements or applies to every kind of XP.

How much faster is progression after the XP changes?
In its Update 1.2.2.0 notes, EA described the revised XP curve as “about twice as fast in the early ranks” and “15% faster in total.” Those figures describe EA’s change to the progression curve, not a guaranteed personal rate or an independent measurement of any particular farm.
