In the U.S., Sony’s recommended retail price for the PS5 Pro is $899.99, effective April 2, 2026. Sony lists PlayStation Direct and participating retailers as places to buy; check the seller and the final checkout total before ordering. PlayStation Direct’s U.S. product page showed the console out of stock on October 7, 2026, but that snapshot does not indicate whether other retailers have stock.

Where to look for a PS5 Pro
Sony identifies PlayStation Direct and participating retailers as sales channels. Start with those official channels, then compare listings at retailers serving your area. Availability changes, so a page’s status is only a snapshot: the U.S. PlayStation Direct product page displayed “not in stock” when checked on October 7, 2026. That does not establish stock at other stores, in other locations, or at a later time.

- Backwards Compatibility - Play over 4,000 PS4 games on PS5. Enjoy faster and smoother frame rates in some of the PS4 console's greatest games.
- Check PlayStation Direct and participating retailers. Confirm the product page is for the PS5 Pro and review its current availability and price.
- Check who is selling the console. On a marketplace, distinguish the retailer itself from an independent third-party seller. A console listed on a retailer’s site is not necessarily being sold by that retailer.
- Compare the final checkout total. Check the price and any listed fees before placing an order, then compare that total with Sony’s current recommended price for your market.
- Review what the listing includes. Make sure the bundle or console listing matches what you actually need, especially if you use physical game discs.
How to spot a markup or misleading listing
Use the seller’s identity and the complete checkout cost—not the retailer’s name alone—to judge whether an offer is near retail price. A third-party marketplace seller may set a different price from the retailer, even when both listings appear on the same website. Read the seller and item details before paying, and compare the total against the relevant Sony price above.
- Seller: Is the retailer itself selling the console, or is the seller a separate marketplace account?
- Total cost: What will you pay at checkout, and how does that compare with Sony’s recommended price in your market?
- Included items: Does the listing include only the console, or additional accessories you want?
No reliable restock schedule or guaranteed way to beat scalpers is established here. Treat stock alerts, queues, and claims about a retailer’s restock timing as possibilities to verify—not promises that a console will be available at retail price.

Know what the PS5 Pro listing includes
The U.S. PlayStation Direct product page describes the PS5 Pro as a 2TB all-digital console. It has no disc drive; Sony lists a compatible removable Disc Drive as a separate accessory, and the vertical stand is also sold separately. If you want to play physical discs, include the cost of the compatible drive when comparing your purchase options.
Sony’s launch announcement describes an upgraded GPU, advanced ray tracing, and AI-driven PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR). Sony says performance features are available in select enhanced games and vary by game, so those specifications do not guarantee a particular frame rate or image-quality improvement in every title.
