During Fortnitemares 2024, Billy appeared inside the large white house at Freaky Fields. Find the TV displaying him and interact with it to summon the boss; then create distance and shoot while avoiding his close-range attacks. This is a historical event guide: the available sources do not confirm that Billy is available in Fortnite now.
Where to find Billy in Fortnite
Billy’s documented boss encounter took place at Freaky Fields during Fortnitemares 2024. The location was between Grand Glacier and Restored Reels, and the house was on the southern edge of the farm, according to Shacknews’ October 12, 2024 guide.
Find the house and TV
- Land at Freaky Fields and head to the large white house with a dark tiled roof on the farm’s southern edge.
- Enter through the front entrance. The TV displaying Billy was in a ground-floor alcove directly ahead, as described by Shacknews.
- Pick up a firearm and ammunition before activating the TV.
- Interact with the TV to summon Billy. ONE Esports’ October 15, 2024 guide also reported that destroying the TV could trigger the encounter, but interacting with it is the clearly documented route.
How to defeat Billy
Billy attacks quickly at close range with melee strikes, so avoid trying to fight him with your pickaxe. After he appears, move away to make space and shoot with your firearm. A Dexerto guide published October 12, 2024 also recommends drawing him out into an open area, where it is easier to keep distance and aim.
- Prepare first: Have a gun and ammunition ready before interacting with the TV.
- Keep moving: Back away when Billy closes in rather than letting him stay at melee range.
- Watch for other players: Freaky Fields drew players pursuing the boss and its quest, so opponents may attack while you are entering the house or fighting Billy.
What did Billy drop during Fortnitemares 2024?
Contemporary guides reported that defeating Billy could drop a Boom Billy, Shield Potion, Epic Sovereign Shotgun, and FlowBerry Fizz. They also reported a 20,000 XP reward for the Fortnitemares quest “Find and defeat Billy.” These were event-era drops and quest rewards, not confirmed rewards for a future return.

Epic’s October 12, 2024 Fortnitemares announcement confirms Boom Billy as a reward from defeating Billy at Freaky Fields. The cited information documents Billy as a Fortnitemares 2024 boss through the end of Chapter 5 Season 4. It does not establish a current spawn, a rerun schedule, or present-day encounter mechanics.
