Queen Blood Spider is part of the Friend of Morokai the Turncoat quest in Carmine Forest. Activate the quest, check its two blue map markers in the forest’s southern area, then dodge her melee dive and ranged web-ball attacks while dealing damage. This is the Carmine Forest quest boss—not the different Queen Spider on Taedal’s Tower Floor 2.
Where to find Queen Blood Spider
With Friend of Morokai the Turncoat active, look for two small blue circles in southern Carmine Forest. They mark possible locations for Queen Blood Spider. One is just east of the main path and south of the forest waypoint. The other is farther along the paths near a Riftstone.

At the eastern marker, a stone ledge with a note about Morokai and a campfire behind it can help orient you. The boss spawns in the clearing in front of the spider egg cave, rather than on the ledge.
If neither location has the boss, another player may have defeated her recently. A Destructoid guide published October 3, 2024, estimates she may return after five to ten minutes; that is a guide-reported wait, not a confirmed official respawn timer. The guide’s author had better luck at the western location, but does not establish that it has a higher or guaranteed spawn rate.

How to defeat Queen Blood Spider
The Destructoid guide describes Queen Blood Spider as a level 19 Elite with just over 5,000 health points, and reports that she uses a melee dive and ranged web-ball attacks. Those figures and attack details come from that October 2024 guide; current official patch documentation confirming them was not available.
- Check the quest markers. Activate Friend of Morokai the Turncoat and travel to one of the two blue circles in southern Carmine Forest.
- Make room to fight. If ordinary enemies nearby are disrupting the encounter, clear them first, then engage the Queen in the open clearing.
- Dodge her attacks. Watch for the melee dive and ranged web balls, and evade when possible.
- Keep attacking between evasions. Continue dealing damage until her health is depleted. The guide characterizes her attacks as not especially quick, but use her movements—not that general observation alone—to time your dodges.
- Get help if you need it. The guide says nearby players can assist and that their help does not prevent quest kill credit.
The guide’s author used staff and dagger and carried extra World Tree Leaves, an in-game healing item, as a precaution. That was a personal setup, not a requirement: the guide recommends using a weapon combination you are comfortable with.

| Choice | What the guide supports |
|---|---|
| Eastern clearing | The nearby Morokai note, stone ledge and campfire are useful landmarks; the boss is in the clearing in front of the spider egg cave. |
| Western location | The 2024 guide’s author reported better luck here, but no reliable spawn-rate advantage is established. |
| Fight solo | Attempt it solo if you are comfortable handling the reported attacks and health pool. |
| Ask nearby players for help | The guide says other players can help while quest kill credit still counts. |
Do not confuse her with Taedal’s Tower Queen Spider
Taedal’s Tower Floor 2 has a separate boss named Queen Spider. GamesLantern describes that encounter as having a Venom Jump telegraphed by a purple circle, a rush, a three-part directional back spray, and a ground web hazard lasting 10 seconds. Those mechanics belong to the Tower fight and should not be assumed to apply to Queen Blood Spider in Carmine Forest.
