One free scan finds every outdated or missing driver and matches the right update for your exact hardware.Free scan · exact hardware matchTo find Charcadet in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, search the random Hyperspace distortions available in the Mega Dimension DLC; there is no confirmed fixed spawn point. Use Auspicious Armor to evolve it into Armarouge, or Malicious Armor to evolve it into Ceruledge. Mega Dimension access is required for the encounter and evolution route described here.
Where to find Charcadet
Charcadet is reported in random Hyperspace distortions in the Mega Dimension DLC, rather than at a guaranteed location on the ordinary Lumiose City map. Enter distortions and check their available encounters; because the spawn is random, no particular coordinate or single distortion can be promised. The encounter details come from game guides, and their checked patch versions are not stated, so verify the available encounters in your current game if they differ from these steps.
The official Pokédex entry identifies Charcadet, but does not document its location in Legends: Z-A. The location information is reported by game guides.
How to evolve Charcadet
Charcadet evolves when you use one of two armor items on it. The item determines which Pokémon it becomes:

| Item | Evolution | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Auspicious Armor | Armarouge | Fire/Psychic |
| Malicious Armor | Ceruledge | Fire/Ghost |
The official Pokédex lists Armarouge as Fire/Psychic and Ceruledge as Fire/Ghost. Choose the armor for the form you want; the evolution is item-triggered, not a level-up evolution.
How to get Auspicious Armor or Malicious Armor
Choose one from Side Mission 132
Side Mission 132, “Bitter Blue Flames vs. Blazing Crimson,” offers a choice between Auspicious Armor and Malicious Armor. The mission gives one armor choice, so select the one for your preferred evolution.

- Your journey will take you to all manner of sights in the streets arrayed around Prism Tower, including shops, restaurants, and places called wild zones—where Pokémon roam free.
- As you catch, train, and battle Pokémon, there will be plenty of people to meet too—like AZ, the enigmatic owner of Hotel Z.
Check 4- and 5-star Hyperspace Wild Zones
Game guides also report that either armor can appear in floating Poké Balls in 4- and 5-star Hyperspace Wild Zones. This is a reported alternative item source; the guides do not establish exact drop odds or guarantee a particular armor in a specific zone.
Use the armor on Charcadet
- Open your Bag and select Auspicious Armor or Malicious Armor.
- Choose Charcadet as the Pokémon to use the item on.
- Confirm to trigger its evolution into Armarouge or Ceruledge, respectively.
What you need to access this encounter
The Charcadet encounter and armor routes described above are in Mega Dimension, so access to that DLC is required. Before choosing a game listing or edition, check that its contents include Mega Dimension. The official Pokémon announcement dated September 30, 2026 says a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition plus Mega Dimension bundle is scheduled for October 29, 2026; that is a future release date as of the announcement, not confirmation that the bundle is currently available. The official announcement is at Pokémon’s bundle notice.
