What you need before Timon and Pumbaa appear
- Access to the Lion King Realm in the Dream Castle.
- Simba and Nala unlocked.
- Friendship Level 10 with both Simba and Nala.
- Their relevant friendship quests completed.
Timon and Pumbaa’s content arrived with the Jungle Getaway update, which Disney Dreamlight Valley announced as live on all platforms on October 9, 2024. The update sends players back to the Lion King Realm to meet them (official update announcement).
How to unlock Timon and Pumbaa
- Unlock the Lion King Realm. Open it from the Dream Castle and complete the steps needed to unlock Simba and Nala.
- Reach Friendship Level 10 with Simba and Nala. Complete their relevant friendship quests as well; meeting the level requirement alone may not make the new quest available.
- Speak directly to Simba. After meeting the prerequisites, talk to him to start Finding Old Friends.
- Return to the Lion King Realm. Complete Finding Old Friends, followed by Relax!.
- Complete Where’s Pumbaa?. Finishing this final quest brings Timon and Pumbaa to the Valley.
Where to sit for the bean bag objective in Relax!
When Relax! asks you to sit on bean bags, use the bean bags at two locations: first near the Lion King Realm entrance, then near Timon and Pumbaa’s camp. Pumbaa’s napping spots do not satisfy this objective, according to the Gameloft Help Center.
Why Finding Old Friends may not show up
The quest may not display a marker or appear in the quest log when it becomes available. If Simba and Nala are both at Friendship Level 10 and their relevant quests are complete, speak to Simba directly to trigger Finding Old Friends.
