Open the Galaxy Map while you’re in space and look for a system marked Dissonant. Warp there, then scan its planets individually from space for the planet-level clue “Dissonance detected” or an indication of corrupted Sentinel forces. The system label gets you to the right star; the planet scan identifies the world with corrupted Sentinels.
Find and identify a Dissonant planet
- Open the Galaxy Map in space. Look for the Dissonant label on a system, then select it and warp there. The map label is the system-level clue, as described in Hello Games’ Interceptor update notes.
- Scan the planets from your starship. Check each planet’s scan information for corrupted Sentinel forces or the wording “Dissonance detected.” A Dissonant system is not itself a planet; scan its planets to determine which one has corrupted Sentinels. - Land on the identified planet. Corrupted worlds are associated with purple-hazed visuals and corrupted Sentinel activity. The Interceptor update introduced corrupted worlds and related content, including crashed Interceptors and Radiant Shards.
Find Resonators or a Harmonic Camp
Locate surface resources with the Analysis Visor
On a planet with corrupted Sentinel presence, use the Analysis Visor to look for Dissonance Resonators and Radiant Shards. These are planet-surface objectives; you do not need them to find or reach a Dissonant system.
Use an Echo Locator for the optional camp route
Destroying Dissonance Resonators may yield an Echo Locator. Use it to search for a Harmonic Camp. At a camp, the Harmonic Interface can reveal a Dissonance Spike, which leads to a crashed Interceptor. This is an optional follow-on activity, not an alternative way to locate Dissonant systems. The patch 4.22 notes also establish that an Echo Locator may be used in a system with no Harmonic Camps; if the game reports none, try another Dissonant system. If the Dissonant label or Echo Locator does not work
The Galaxy Map does not show a Dissonant label
Hello Games documented and fixed a Galaxy Map display problem affecting lower difficulty settings in patch 4.22. If the label is still missing, make sure the game is updated and check another system. The patch notes establish that historical fix, but do not establish a universal workaround for every current platform or save configuration.

The Echo Locator reports no Harmonic Camp
A Dissonant system does not necessarily contain a Harmonic Camp. Move on to another Dissonant system if the locator reports that none is available.
