To summon regular Shenron in Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, complete the Shenron-marked challenges in Whis’s Stamp Book, claim their rewards, redeem the linked gifts in Zen-Oh’s Orders, and then choose Come Forth > Summon Shenron once you have all seven regular Dragon Balls. For more regular balls, win offline P1-versus-CPU battles; drops are random.
How to get the first seven regular Dragon Balls
- Open Challenges & Missions > Whis’s Stamp Book. Look for challenges marked with the Shenron icon.
- Complete the marked challenges and claim their rewards in Whis’s Stamp Book. Completing a challenge is not enough if you leave its reward unclaimed.
- Open Zen-Oh’s Orders and redeem the corresponding gifts. PowerPyx reports that these gifts grant regular Dragon Balls. This is a one-time route: the Stamp Book missions do not respawn. PowerPyx’s regular Dragon Ball guide details the route.
How to get more regular Dragon Balls
After the Stamp Book rewards are exhausted, play and win offline matches through Battle & Training > Battle > Offline > P1 vs. CPU. Regular Dragon Balls can appear as random match rewards, so rematch after victories if you are farming them. The exact drop chance is not established as a current-build guarantee: an October 2024 guide estimated a rate and match count, but those figures should not be treated as reliable current odds.
How to summon Shenron
Once you have all seven regular Dragon Balls, open Come Forth and choose Summon Shenron. The game has separate Dragon Ball sets and summon options, so make sure you have the regular set for this choice.
Dragon Ball sets and summon options
| Dragon Ball set | Dragon summoned | Acquisition and summon route |
|---|---|---|
| Regular (Earth) Dragon Balls | Shenron | One-time Stamp Book challenges and Zen-Oh’s Orders gifts; later, random rewards from offline P1-vs-CPU wins. Summon through Come Forth. |
| Namekian Dragon Balls | Porunga | Separate set from the regular balls; no acquisition route is established here. |
| Super Dragon Balls | Super Shenron | PowerPyx reports that completing Goku’s Episode Battle saga grants a set, with some optional Episode Battle subchapters granting additional sets. Summon through Come Forth when the set is available. |
Getting Super Dragon Balls and summoning Super Shenron
For the first Super Dragon Ball set, PowerPyx reports completing Goku’s Episode Battle saga. The guide also describes additional sets from some optional Episode Battle subchapters, including a Jiren subchapter involving the Tournament of Power. These routes are guide-reported and are not independently confirmed for the current game build. When you have the required set, select Come Forth > Summon Super Shenron. See PowerPyx’s Super Dragon Ball guide for its route details.

Do you need a special edition to summon a dragon?
No. The regular gameplay routes do not require a paid edition bonus. Bandai Namco lists a Season Pass bonus to summon Shenron and an Ultimate Edition bonus to summon Super Shenron. Nintendo’s Switch Ultimate Edition listing says its bonus Super Shenron summon can be used regardless of how many Super Dragon Balls the player owns. These are optional edition benefits, not prerequisites for collecting the corresponding balls and summoning through gameplay. See the official Bandai Namco product page and Nintendo’s Switch Ultimate Edition listing.
