Start with Marvel’s official news pages and Marvel Games’ official channels. Once Marvel names the developer or publisher, follow that company’s own newsroom and social accounts; if a platform partner is identified, check its official blog as well. Until an announcement names the game and its partners, there is no verified game-specific account, release window, or update schedule to follow.
Where Marvel may announce a new game
Start with Marvel’s news pages
Check Marvel’s Latest News index, which includes a “Latest Games News” section, and Marvel’s Games category. These are sensible starting points for an official announcement, but they do not establish that a particular unannounced project exists.
Verify Marvel Games’ social links through Marvel
Marvel’s announcement for Marvel’s Blade directed readers to follow Marvel Games on X. That is an example of Marvel pointing readers to an official social channel—not evidence of an account or feed dedicated to an unknown game. Find current account links from Marvel’s own site rather than trusting a handle copied into a rumor post. Marvel’s Blade announcement
Which other official channels to add
The confirmed developer and publisher
After Marvel identifies the companies working on a game, monitor their official channels too. For example, Insomniac Games says updates appear on its official X/Twitter, Discord, Instagram, and Facebook accounts. NetEase’s Marvel Rivals newsroom illustrates how a publisher can maintain a dated, game-specific news archive. These are examples of useful channel types only; neither example identifies a company attached to the unannounced game.

The platform partner, if one is named
A platform blog can be a primary source for platform-related news when that company is confirmed as a partner. PlayStation Blog has published Marvel game updates by an Insomniac Games community manager, including a recap of a Marvel’s Wolverine panel and trailer. How to tell whether a Marvel game rumor is official

Find the original post or announcement, not just a screenshot, repost, or paraphrase.

Check whether it appears on Marvel’s official site or a channel linked from that site. If the game’s developer, publisher, or platform partner has been named, check that organization’s own newsroom or verified channel as well.

Make sure the source actually confirms the claim you are repeating. An official post about an event, for example, does not by itself confirm a release date or platform.

If no relevant organization has confirmed the information, treat it as unverified rumor rather than an announcement.
Insomniac’s support guidance for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 says information from elsewhere should be considered rumor, potentially false, or misinformed unless Insomniac, PlayStation, or Marvel says otherwise. That guidance is specific to Insomniac’s game, but the same source-checking approach is useful for any project: look for confirmation from the rights holder or the named partners. Insomniac Games Support: “When will you share more news and updates about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2?”

What silence does—and does not—tell you
Insomniac’s support article, updated November 21, 2025, puts its own approach plainly: “If there is no news being posted, there is no news to share.” It also says its support channels are not the place to seek information about future releases. This is guidance about Insomniac and its channels, not a schedule for Marvel or another developer.
Without a direct official source, do not assume a reveal date, event appearance, newsletter, notification feed, or posting cadence. The available examples establish ways companies have shared updates in other cases; they do not establish when an unannounced Marvel game will be revealed or where its game-specific news will appear.
