Search for the person’s Roblox username and open their profile. If their privacy settings let you see their current experience, it may appear there. A Join Experience option may also appear when they are playing and allow others to follow them. If you can’t see their activity, Roblox does not provide a supported way to bypass their privacy settings.
Check their Roblox profile
-
Search Roblox for the person’s username, or open their profile if you already have it. Roblox’s guide to profiles explains how to find and view profile information: All About Profiles, Blurbs, and Profile Customization.
-
Look for an indication of their current activity or experience. What you can see depends on their visibility settings and your relationship to them.
-
If Join Experience appears, select it only if you want to join. Roblox says this option appears when the person is in an experience and allows people to follow them; you must also have permission to access that experience. See How to follow or join another player in experiences.

Why you might not see what they’re playing
Roblox has separate controls for who can see a user’s online status and who can see their current experience. Someone outside the selected audience may see the person as offline or may not see the experience they’re playing. An offline status or a missing experience indication therefore does not prove that the person is not playing.
The available audience options can vary by age and region. Roblox describes the controls in its Online Status and Visibility support article.

The exact audience choices depend on your age and region.
To control whether friends receive updates about your recent in-experience activity, adjust Share activity updates. This is a separate setting from showing your current experience.
