How to Find the Blood Spinners’ Temple in Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader – Void Shadows

The Blood Spinners’ Temple is reached from the Freight Line aboard the von Valancius voidship. Once the Void Shadows quest is active, ask Einrich Monted about the Bloodspun Web’s temple, then follow the Flute Player around the fan and into the ventilation shaft. The shaft leads directly to the temple.

Start the Void Shadows quest

The temple route does not become available until the DLC’s opening quest has started. According to the Neoseeker walkthrough, in Chapter 2 or Chapter 4, travel from one system to another to trigger the quest. If you are beginning in Chapter 1, first complete either Navis Nobilite Secrets or The Chosen Ones, then move around the Rykad system until Vigdis contacts you by vox. Agree to meet the cult representative; the opening sequence introduces Kibellah and eventually directs you to the lower decks to meet Vizsier.

Follow the route through the Freight Line

  1. Use the voidship map to travel to the Freight Line. The walkthrough recommends speaking to the new bridge characters, Einrich and Jocasta, before exploring.
  2. In the Freight Line, find Einrich Monted and ask him about the Bloodspun Web’s temple.
  3. Continue through the area until you find the Flute Player.
  4. Follow her around the fan. When she jumps into the ventilation shaft, follow her inside; the shaft opens into the Temple of the Bloodspun Web.

The walkthrough also describes an optional interaction with Eddock Frensoe: offering to help with an inspection starts the side quest The Lowest Walks of Life. That is separate from the temple route.

If the Flute Player or shaft is not available

Check that the opening Void Shadows quest has triggered and that your current journal objective points you toward the lower decks. A second guide describes the temple hunt generally as an investigation aboard the ship and suggests revisiting lower-deck areas, examining clues, and checking the journal, but it does not establish a specific clue checklist or an alternate entrance. The named Einrich interaction and Flute Player route are documented in the Neoseeker walkthrough; the broader ship-investigation framing appears in Position Is Everything’s guide.

Optional temple rewards

Spoilers for an optional dialogue reward: The Neoseeker walkthrough reports that killing the “Dead Man” in the Freight Line and reaching Dogmatic Rank 2: Adherent enables a specific Vizsier dialogue choice for the optional Battle Trance ability. It also reports that the conversation awards Spinner’s Ritual Vestments regardless of that choice. In the lower temple area, an Athletics check can reveal a container in the southeast with Bloody Pact and Spinner’s Blade; a box in the northwest contains the Blooddrinker ring.

These details are guide-reported rather than confirmed across every conviction path or game patch. The walkthrough’s author played on Normal difficulty with a Dogmatic path and notes that other path details may differ.
