Find the Coral Snakes’ Hideout during the Battahl side quest Mercy Among Thieves: travel south from Checkpoint Rest Town along the main road, follow the raid clues to a sacked oxcart, then chase the fleeing bandit Hugo southwest into the caves. Defeat the two bandits guarding the entrance and continue inside.
Start “Mercy Among Thieves” at Checkpoint Rest Town
The hideout route is tied to the Battahl-side quest Mercy Among Thieves. Speak with Lyssandro at Checkpoint Rest Town to begin the quest, as described in the Gamer Guides walkthrough.

Follow the raid clues south through Battahl
From Checkpoint Rest Town, take the main road south toward Bakbattahl. The quest leads you through a series of road encounters: look for Seferinno south of Beren’s Childhood Home, then Hayne near a river bridge after Enoa’Battahl Forest. Continue along the road until you reach the sacked oxcart scene.
Chase Hugo into the cave and enter the hideout
- Reach the sacked oxcart. Watch for the encounter as you continue south along the quest route.
- Follow Hugo southwest. When the bandits flee, pursue Hugo; the trail leads into a cave route toward the hideout.
- Defeat the entrance guards. Two bandits guard the hideout entrance in the walkthrough sequence.
- Go through the open entrance. Continue into the cavern to reach the Coral Snakes’ Hideout.
A second walkthrough likewise describes following the fleeing bandits southwest into a tunnel and fighting at the hideout entrance (walkthrough). The available guides describe access as part of this quest sequence; they do not establish that the entrance can be opened before reaching it through the pursuit.
