In Roblox Abyss, find the Crab Scroll in a cave behind Grumpy Hank’s Tower in Ancient Sands. Pick it up from the crab-shaped sculpture, take it to Henry at the Forgotten Dome, and choose [Give Crab Scroll]. Then interact with the Crab beside Henry to unlock its readable dialogue.
Find the cave in Ancient Sands
- Use the Forgotten Dome teleporter to travel to Ancient Sands. The destination is described in guides as Crazy Jeff’s Shop.
- Leave the shop, pass through the protective waterfall, and turn right as you exit the tunnel.
- Look for Grumpy Hank’s tall, coral-like tower. You do not need to speak to Hank to get the scroll.
- Swim behind the tower and descend the nearby cliff close to its wall. Look back toward the rock face for the cave entrance.
The Ancient Sands location and tower landmark are reported by multiple guides. The exact depth and gear threshold are less certain: one guide estimates the cave at about 370 m and says a Zeppelin Tube or better is needed, while another also reports the tube requirement. These are secondary, potentially version-sensitive details rather than confirmed current game requirements. If you cannot reach the entrance, check your diving gear and look for the opening along the cliff wall.
Pick up the Crab Scroll
Follow the cave passage to a small chamber at its end. The scroll is on a crab-shaped sculpture. Press E to pick it up; reaching the sculpture without completing the interaction may leave you without the item.
Give the scroll to Henry, then talk to the Crab
- Return to the Forgotten Dome and find Henry at the harpoon shop.
- Talk to Henry and select [Give Crab Scroll]. Complete the hand-in dialogue.
- Interact with the Crab beside Henry. Guides report that this sequence triggers the Crab’s dialogue; its first responses may be clacking sounds before it speaks in readable English.
If the Crab is still silent
- Henry does not offer the hand-in option: Check that you pressed E at the cave’s crab-shaped sculpture to collect the scroll, then return to Henry and complete the hand-in.
- The Crab still makes only sounds: Confirm that you selected and completed [Give Crab Scroll] with Henry, then interact with the Crab beside him again. The reported clacking at the start may precede readable dialogue.
These are guide-supported checks, not a confirmed explanation for every case where the Crab remains silent.

What the Crab’s dialogue leads to
Once you can understand the Crab, guides say it offers a job connected to opening seven Fish Ruins. The community wiki names the quest “Seven Shells of Stone,” but its Crab page is marked incomplete, so treat that follow-on quest description as limited rather than a fully verified walkthrough.
The location, pickup interaction, and Henry hand-in sequence are reported by secondary guides, not an official game source. One guide also warns that some information may not reflect changes made after the Jungle update, so route details and requirements may vary by game version.
