Use it on the chest inside the large tent at Sandflame Bandit Base and take the codex item “A Mysterious Copy of a Map.” Then go to the monoliths northeast of Vienta Village, near the Sandworm Lair waypoint, and interact with the treasure when in-game sunrise arrives.
1. Get a Loot Chest Key from a Flame Fighter
Defeat Flame Fighters in Monolith Wastelands until one drops a Loot Chest Key. Make sure you are targeting Flame Fighters specifically, rather than enemies with similar names.
2. Open the Loot Chest at Sandflame Bandit Base
Travel to Sandflame Bandit Base and enter its large tent. Use the key on the Loot Chest inside, then collect the Collection Codex entry “A Mysterious Copy of a Map.” You need this clue before the final treasure can be found.
3. Find the monoliths northeast of Vienta Village
Read the map image in your Collection Codex to identify the small monolith or ground spot where the treasure appears. The location is northeast of Vienta Village, near the Sandworm Lair waypoint and prominent monolith or rock formations. Use those landmarks together with the codex image instead of relying on a broad map marker alone.

Walkthroughs describe Sandflame Bandit Base as southwest or southeast of the Monolith Wastelands waypoint. Those directions use different reference points; look for the base itself and its tents, then use the large tent to locate the chest.
4. Arrive before in-game sunrise
The treasure appears at daybreak, so check the in-game world time and reach the spot before dawn. Game8 recommends arriving at least two minutes early as a practical tip, not a guaranteed timing requirement. The clue is reported as: “The true power will be granted when the night turns to morning.”

5. Interact with the treasure when it appears
At sunrise, look for the treasure on the ground at the spot shown by the codex and interact with it to complete the objective. If it does not appear immediately, use this checklist:
- Confirm that you collected “A Mysterious Copy of a Map” from the Loot Chest.
- Compare the codex image with the monolith area near the Sandworm Lair waypoint.
- Check the in-game time and wait for sunrise if it is still night.
- Allow a short delay and look carefully; another player may obscure the treasure from view.
