To open the Goblin Cave in The Forge, reach Forgotten Kingdom, complete all five Goblin King requests, pay 75,000 Gold in total, provide four types of gems, and use the Goblin Key on the stone door beside the king. The cave does not open after one payment—or after completing only the first four quests.
Before you start
The Goblin King is unavailable in the starting area. Progress to Forgotten Kingdom, also called World 2 in some guides. The game’s Roblox listing describes progression to later islands, but you do not need a chat command or a special menu option to begin this questline.
Prepare at least 75,000 Gold and the following gems:
- 3 Topaz
- 5 Diamonds
- 5 Emeralds
- 5 Ruby
The gems are additional requirements; they are not included in the Gold total.

Find the Goblin King in Forgotten Kingdom
- Start at the Forgotten Kingdom spawn.
- Walk toward the Forge.
- Continue past the Runemaker and Enhancer buildings.
- Follow the path until you reach two goblin guards carrying axes.
- Walk between or past the guards into Goblin Village.
- Go to the back of the village. The Goblin King is sitting on a throne.
The guards appear to block the entrance, but you can walk through the gap between them. If you cannot find the king, the most likely explanation is that you are still on the first island or have not gone beyond the Runemaker and Enhancer.
Speak to the Goblin King to start the first request. The quests must be completed in sequence; the next one becomes available only after the previous request is finished. (Game8’s quest location guide; Gamezebo’s Goblin Cave walkthrough.)

Some search results report an 85,000-Gold total, but that figure does not match the five listed payments: 5,000 + 10,000 + 15,000 + 20,000 + 25,000 = 75,000. The five-request progression and the 75,000-Gold sum are also reflected in Game8’s guide.

You can mine the requested gems in Forgotten Kingdom. The reported sources are:

Ruby is usually the final material bottleneck because the cited guides identify Basalt Veins as its source. One third-party guide reports approximate drop rates of 1 in 143 for Topaz, 1 in 192 for Diamond, 1 in 363 for Emerald, and 1 in 487 for Ruby. These are guide-reported estimates, not an official developer drop table, so treat them as rough expectations rather than guarantees. See Gamezebo’s mining information.

Pickaxe requirement for Ruby
A currently syndicated guide reports that the Basalt Veins needed for Ruby require a pickaxe capable of dealing at least 78 damage. It lists these possible options:
- Mythril Pickaxe: 67,500 Gold
- Lightite Pickaxe: 98,500 Gold
- Arcane Pickaxe: 125,000 Gold, obtained through Bard’s quest progression
These damage and price figures are guide-reported rather than documented on the official Roblox game page. Check the current in-game pickaxe descriptions before spending Gold, particularly if a balance update has changed mining requirements. (The reported pickaxe details.)
How to open the Goblin Cave
- Finish the fifth Goblin King request, including the five Ruby.
- Collect the Goblin Key awarded or dropped by the king.
- Turn toward the locked stone door immediately to the Goblin King’s right.
- Interact with the door and use the Goblin Key.
- Enter the Goblin Cave.
The key is awarded only after the entire five-quest chain is complete. Paying the first four requests does not unlock the entrance, and the door is not documented as opening automatically after the final payment.

The cave contains mineable crystal formations and Slime enemies. It is also the area connected to Tomo’s lost-cat objective.

The Goblin King is missing
Confirm that you are in Forgotten Kingdom, not the starting area. From spawn, pass the Forge, Runemaker, and Enhancer, then go beyond the two axe-wielding guards into Goblin Village. The king is seated at the back.
The key does not open the door
Use this order:
- Check that all five requests show as complete.
- Confirm that you collected the Goblin Key.
- Leave the server and rejoin the game.
- Return to the door beside the Goblin King and try again.
Rejoining has been reported by players as a workaround for a door that fails to respond, but it is a community-reported solution rather than a confirmed official fix. (Reported door issue.)

The cave seems to contain only Basalt Cores
Do not assume the cave is supposed to be filled with crystal nodes immediately. Players have reported seeing mostly Basalt Cores at first; community replies suggest that crystal-type nodes may appear after existing rocks are mined and respawn. This behavior is not documented in an official source, so mining the available rocks and waiting for respawns is the practical thing to try. (Community report.)
You cannot reach Tomo’s cat behind the waterfall
A reported collision-size issue can prevent a Golem-race character from passing through the rock behind the waterfall. One player resolved it by switching to a different race. This is not a Goblin King quest requirement, but it may explain why the cat area is inaccessible. (Community waterfall report.)
What you do not need
- You do not need a chat command.
- You do not need a special menu command. On PC,
Topens the game menu, but it is not part of the Goblin Cave unlock process. - You do not unlock the cave after only one payment.
- The cave questline has five requests, not three.
- The correct listed Gold total is 75,000, not 85,000.
The actual unlock path is straightforward: reach the king in Goblin Village, complete all five sequential requests, collect the Goblin Key, and use it on the nearby stone door.
