Check the minimum PC requirements first
Steam lists these minimum requirements for ARC Raiders. Meeting them is a baseline, not a guarantee that the game will launch successfully.

If ARC Raiders crashes at startup, at the menu, or while loading
Embark’s PC crash-and-launch guide, updated September 30, 2026, recommends checking system requirements and current compatible drivers. Prioritize the GPU driver, but also check drivers for the CPU, motherboard or BIOS, monitor, network adapter or modem, and connected peripherals. Install available DirectX and Windows updates; restart after Windows updates. Read Embark’s crash and launch troubleshooting guide.

Turn off Raider Voice (Beta) as a test
If Raider Voice (Beta) is enabled and the game crashes at the main menu or during loading, disable it and try launching again. Treat this as a diagnostic step: if the crash continues, move on to the checks below.
Verify the Steam installation
- Open Steam and go to your Library.
- Right-click ARC Raiders and select Properties.
- Open Installed Files.
- Select Verify integrity of game files and let Steam complete the check.
Steam checks the installation and replaces problematic files. This is a lower-disruption step than reinstalling the game.
If the screen is stuck, frozen, or black
For a stuck loading screen or frozen or black screen, Embark’s loading guide (updated February 27, 2026) suggests restarting the PC, updating Windows, closing non-essential processes, and checking that antivirus or Windows Defender allows both ARC Raiders and Easy Anti-Cheat. It also lists running as administrator among general quick fixes. That suggestion is not universal: for exit code 0 or 0x1, Embark’s newer, code-specific instructions say to turn administrator mode off instead.

Use a clean boot to check for background interference
A clean boot starts Windows with non-Microsoft services and startup items disabled, which can help identify whether background software is interfering. Before changing startup settings, note that you may need to restore them afterward.

- In System Configuration, open Services, select Hide all Microsoft services, then disable the remaining listed services.
- Open the Startup tab and select Open Task Manager. Disable the startup items listed there.
- Restart the PC and test ARC Raiders.
If the game launches in a clean boot, re-enable services and startup items in groups to narrow down the interfering program. Embark’s loading guide provides the full clean-boot and loading troubleshooting instructions: Troubleshooting Loading Issues – PC.
If Easy Anti-Cheat shows an error
Error 30005
Embark says error 30005 can occur when another program, such as antivirus software, locks an EAC file and prevents the game from starting. Restart the PC first. If the error persists, check whether antivirus or Windows Defender is blocking either ARC Raiders or EAC. Embark’s crash guide suggests adding an antivirus exclusion for Program Files (x86)EasyAntiCheat_EOS; only do this if you trust the game installation and follow your antivirus provider’s instructions.

Other EAC launch errors
Embark says the EAC self-repair tool may help with Windows service issues. The support article labels this an advanced step for players comfortable using Command Prompt; follow its instructions rather than downloading a repair tool from an unofficial site. As Embark Studios Help Center puts it in its September 30, 2026 guide, “If you’re having trouble launching ARC Raiders due to an EAC-related error, running the EAC self-repair tool may help.”
“Maximum Simultaneous Game Instances Reached”
Open Task Manager and check for an ARC Raiders process that is still running. If you find one, end it and try again. If no game process is visible, Embark says to fully reboot the PC to clear the EAC driver state.
If you see “System Integrity Violation”
Embark says this error can mean Windows is not meeting one or more required security settings, or that the game detected a disallowed process. Its System Integrity Violation and Error Codes guide, last updated October 29, 2025, describes detections involving virtual machines, NVIDIA Profile Inspector, auto-clickers, scripts, AutoHotkey, Cheat Engine, and other restricted tools. The error message or code can help identify what needs attention.

- Review Windows security settings for Core Isolation and Memory Integrity, and enable Secure Boot if it is available and appropriate for your PC.
- Install available Windows updates and restart.
- Close disallowed or potentially interfering software before launching the game. If you use a virtual machine or a tool named in Embark’s guide, review that guide for the relevant code and instructions.
- Check antivirus settings and exceptions for interference with the game or EAC.
- If the message persists, use the clean-boot procedure above to test for background interference.
Do not try to bypass anti-cheat detection. If compliant Windows settings and closing interfering software do not resolve the error, contact Embark support.
If the error is ARAV8007
Embark associates ARAV8007 with unexpected changes to the game’s file structure. Its prescribed fix is to delete and reinstall the ARC Raiders game folder through Steam. Because this is more disruptive than verifying files, try Steam’s integrity check first if you have not already done so; then use Embark’s ARAV8007 instructions for the reinstall procedure.

For these specific codes, Embark’s crash-and-launch guide says that configuring the game to run as administrator can cause the problem, and that turning the setting off usually resolves it. This code-specific advice takes precedence over the older loading guide’s general suggestion to try administrator mode.

- Find the relevant
PioneerGameexecutable in your ARC Raiders installation folder. The location depends on where Steam installed the game; Embark’s guide lists paths for each code. - Right-click the executable and choose Properties.
- Open Compatibility.
- Uncheck Run this program as an administrator, select Apply, and try launching again.
Use Embark’s exit code 0 and 0x1 instructions to match the executable path to your error and installation.
When to reinstall, and how to avoid removing shared game files
Reinstalling is a later step for persistent loading problems or when Embark specifically recommends it, as for ARAV8007. Follow the official clean reinstall procedure carefully. Do not delete the shared Embark Studios folder if you have other Embark games installed; removing it can affect those games too.

If the relevant steps do not resolve the launch problem, contact Embark through its ARC Raiders support listing. Include the exact displayed error text or code, when the failure occurs, and which troubleshooting steps you have tried.
