To activate the Broken Rest bench in Sinner’s Road, open the breakable wall in the upper-left corner of its room, follow the hidden hazard course to the pool at the bottom, clear the branches obstructing the mechanism, then return to the bench and rest.
Find the Broken Rest bench
After passing the sleeping enemies, look for a room off to the left, about halfway up. The bench there is unusable until you clear an obstruction through a hidden route. The walkthrough describing this route places Broken Rest in Sinner’s Road, an optional alternate path toward the Citadel; which surrounding areas connect to it can depend on your progression. Clear the obstruction and activate the bench
- Open the hidden passage. In the bench room, strike the breakable wall in the upper-left corner three times.
- Work through the hazards. Follow the passage past spike floors and swinging spiked hazards. In later sections, time your movement between the walls to pass the hazards. Two silk spools along the route can support healing or movement.
- Clear the branches. At the bottom, reach the small pool described by the walkthrough as toxic and full of bugs. Remove the branches obstructing the bench mechanism.
- Return and rest. Go back to Broken Rest and use the bench to activate it.

Don’t confuse it with the Bell Bench beside Shakra
The Bell Bench beside Shakra is a separate save point. Its listed activation conditions are paying 40 Rosaries and unjamming its mechanism; those requirements do not apply to clearing the branches at Broken Rest. Silksong Wiki’s bench reference

Getting into Sinner’s Road
The save-point reference says both entrances from Greymoor require Cling Grip. It also lists another bench in Styx’s den, reachable from the Greymoor side after learning Cling Grip and breaking a cage from below.
