If Clash Royale will not open, check for a maintenance break first, then test your connection and refresh the app and device. If it still fails, compare your device with Supercell’s listed requirements and contact official support. Reinstalling should be a later step, after you confirm you can recover your account.
1. Check whether Clash Royale is in a maintenance break
When Supercell performs maintenance, battles are unavailable until the break ends. Wait and try again afterward; reinstalling the game or changing device settings will not resolve an active maintenance break. See Supercell’s Maintenance Breaks guidance.
2. Test the connection and refresh the app
A loading or connection problem can be related to an unstable network, weak reception, server downtime, maintenance, or low device performance. Try the following in order, testing the game after each step:
- Switch between Wi-Fi and a dependable mobile connection. Signal bars alone do not confirm a stable route to the game servers.
- Check that Clash Royale is updated through your device’s official app store.
- Close other apps running in the background.
- Clear the game’s cache using your device’s settings, if available.
- Restart the device, then launch Clash Royale again.

3. Check whether your device meets Supercell’s listed requirements
Supercell’s My Game Crashes! guidance lists these minimums:

| iOS | iOS 14.0 or newer; iPhone 5 or newer. |
These requirements are not a guarantee of smooth operation. Supercell cautions: “We cannot guarantee these specifications alone will be enough to run the game smoothly.” Compatibility guidance can change, so check the linked support page for the current list.

4. Contact Supercell if the game still will not load
If the steps above do not help, use the Clash Royale contact form. The form offers a Supercell ID login and an option to continue without logging in. A concise report can help explain the issue: include your device model and operating system, what happens when you launch the game, when the problem began, and which troubleshooting steps you tried.

Reinstalling is a later troubleshooting option, not the first response to a loading problem. Before deleting the app, make sure you can access the account recovery method associated with your game account, then follow the current Clash Royale Support Portal instructions for reinstalling. Do not rely on an unofficial APK or third-party repair app.
