A hit removes one lock, and temari balls can push one another, so a move that seems helpful may change another ball’s route. Use undo to review a move; restart if the current arrangement no longer supports a workable sequence. The official listings document these mechanics and recovery controls, but do not provide stage-by-stage solutions or verified bug fixes.
What to check when a puzzle seems stuck
Temari Trials: Dojo’s Test is a logic puzzle in which you guide a fox and push temari balls toward locked chests. Nintendo describes 30 handcrafted single-player stages, with each chest requiring one to three hits to remove its locks. Microsoft’s Windows listing also describes 30 stages. These are storefront descriptions, not independently measured counts.
When a route stops making sense, treat the board as a sequence-and-position problem before assuming something is broken:
- Count the locks. Check how many hits each chest needs, then identify which temari can reach it. Each successful hit removes one lock; a chest with multiple locks needs multiple hits.
- Plan the push order. Consider which ball must move first and the direction it needs to travel. Before pushing, check whether the resulting position will still let you move it toward the chest.
- Track every ball. Temari can push one another. A push may help set up a second ball, or leave it in a position that blocks the route you intended.
- Undo a move that changes the plan. Nintendo lists undo as a control, and Microsoft describes observing the result and using undo or restart as needed. Reverse the move and try a different order or direction.
- Restart if the arrangement no longer works. Restart is a documented recovery option. Use it when undoing individual moves is not enough to return to a position from which you can plan a route.
How to rethink a push sequence
Start with the chest, not the next move
Work backward from the goal: note the number of hits each chest needs, then consider which ball can reach it and how many times it must arrive. This helps distinguish the required deliveries from moves that only reposition balls.

Check what a push does to the other temari
Because balls can push one another, evaluate the effect on the whole board before committing. Ask whether a ball will be moved into the route of another, whether its new position helps with a later hit, and whether you can still approach it from the direction needed for the next push. The official listings establish the push mechanic; this sequence check is practical advice based on that mechanic, not a published solution to a particular stage.
Use undo as a way to test a hypothesis
If a move produces an unexpected position, undo it and reconsider the order or direction rather than repeating the same push. The listings confirm undo and restart as available options but do not give platform-specific button instructions, so consult the controls shown in your edition.

Is it a bug, or a dead end?
The official Nintendo and Microsoft listings describe the game’s core rules and recovery controls, but they do not document specific stage solutions, confirmed unwinnable states, known bugs, or bug-remediation steps. A move that leaves no obvious route is not, by itself, evidence of a software problem. Recheck the balls’ positions, try undo, and restart if needed; do not rely on an unverified move sequence presented as a guaranteed fix.
