If Ghost Recon Breakpoint shows MOUNTAIN-01100 while you are trying to connect, start by checking Ubisoft’s current service announcements, then compare your usual internet connection with a smartphone hotspot. Ubisoft Support suggested that hotspot test for a reported case, but neither the error nor the test identifies a guaranteed cause or fix.
What MOUNTAIN-01100 may indicate
The cited Ubisoft Support exchange treated the reported MOUNTAIN-01100 problem as connectivity-related. That does not establish that the code always has one cause. A secondary troubleshooting guide lists server availability, internet connectivity and game files as possible factors; those are hypotheses, not an official, exhaustive definition of the code.

Players have also discussed MOUNTAIN-01100 alongside other connection errors, but community reports are anecdotal and cannot confirm a current outage or diagnose your connection.
Check Ubisoft service announcements first
Look for current Ubisoft service announcements before changing settings on your PC or network. Historical reports—including the support exchange and community discussion cited here—do not show whether services are unavailable now. If Ubisoft reports an interruption affecting the game, local troubleshooting is unlikely to resolve that service-side problem.

Compare your usual connection with a phone hotspot
On May 15, 2024, Ubisoft Support account Ubi-Galaxy suggested testing a reported MOUNTAIN-01100 issue over a smartphone hotspot. The test compares two network paths; a different result can help narrow down where to investigate, but does not prove the underlying cause.
- Fully close Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
- On your smartphone, turn on both the Wi-Fi hotspot and mobile data.
- Connect your PC to the internet through the phone’s hotspot.
- Start the game and try connecting again.
If the game connects through the hotspot but not your usual connection, investigate the usual network path next. If the error remains on both, the test has not isolated the problem to your home connection. Ubisoft’s reply is available in the Ghost Recon Breakpoint Player Support forum.

Try basic connection and game-file checks
A secondary guide suggests checking the internet connection, restarting the connection or PC, and verifying game files. These steps are not confirmed fixes for MOUNTAIN-01100, so try them as troubleshooting checks rather than guaranteed solutions.
- Restart the connection: Disconnect and reconnect to your network, or restart your network equipment if appropriate. Then launch the game and test again.
- Verify the game files: The cited guide’s instructions refer to Steam. Open Steam, go to your Library, right-click Ghost Recon Breakpoint, choose Properties, open Installed Files, and select Verify integrity of game files. Labels can vary with Steam versions; other launchers use different menus.
- Restart the PC: After a restart, open the game and try connecting again.
- Try administrator launch, if appropriate: The secondary guide also lists running the game as administrator, but does not demonstrate that this resolves this error. Use this only if it fits your platform and setup.
The secondary suggestions appear in Candid.Technology’s MOUNTAIN-01100 troubleshooting guide; they are not an official Ubisoft diagnosis.

If the error persists, give Ubisoft Support useful details
Contact Ubisoft Support if the service announcements show no relevant interruption and the connection checks do not resolve the issue. Include the platform, your approximate time and region, the exact error text, and whether the hotspot test changed the result. That comparison gives support a clearer starting point; the cited guidance does not require a particular diagnostic log or support form.
