AMD’s recommended CPU, RAM and GPU are a reference configuration, not a guaranteed frame-rate target. Neither specification page supplies a measured FPS target or benchmark conditions. A PC that meets the minimum may still need lower resolution or less demanding available graphics options to run comfortably, but the listed parts do not establish a particular preset or performance level.

How to interpret a shortfall

Compare the actual component shortfall before upgrading
If your PC falls below the minimum, identify exactly which part is short rather than shopping for a broad “gaming PC” upgrade. Compare your installed CPU and GPU model with the listed parts, check system RAM, and confirm the operating system and free drive space. The recommended Ryzen 5 5600X, 16 GB RAM and Radeon RX 6600 XT provide a second point of reference, but AMD does not attach a resolution, quality preset or FPS figure to that combination. It is not a guarantee that every system with those parts will run at a particular speed.
Before replacing hardware, check motherboard and power-supply compatibility, case clearance, available memory slots and whether the component is supported by your system. Identify which problem you have
“Bad performance” can describe different symptoms, and they do not point to the same checks. Note what happens and when before changing several things at once. A reproducible description is more useful than “the game is broken” if you need to contact support.

These are triage categories, not confirmed diagnoses for Hellraiser: Revival. Epic’s Unreal Engine 5.8 documentation discusses general GPU-crash causes and diagnostic evidence, including drivers, error codes, other applications and VRAM exhaustion. It does not establish that any one of those causes is affecting this game.
Work through a crash in a controlled order
1. Capture the error before changing anything
If the game shows an error, copy its exact wording or code. Record whether it happens at startup, during loading, or after a particular action, and whether it is repeatable. A GPU- or device-removed-style error is a useful clue, but it does not by itself prove the graphics card is defective or identify a game-specific bug.

Also note your CPU, GPU, RAM, Windows version, resolution and free storage. Having these details together makes it easier to separate a requirements mismatch from a repeatable crash on a system that meets the stated minimum. Include whether the installation drive is an SSD or HDD: it is part of the published setup comparison, though the drive type alone does not diagnose a GPU error.
2. Check the graphics driver with its manufacturer
For an error that appears GPU-related, check the driver directly with the maker of your graphics card and compare your installed version with the current one it offers. Epic’s general Unreal Engine guidance recommends current manufacturer drivers and using the error code or logs to help distinguish a GPU crash from other failures. This is general diagnostic advice; it is not a verified Hellraiser: Revival driver fix.
If the error is not clearly GPU-related, preserve the wording rather than guessing that a driver update will solve it. The exact failure and its timing are more informative than a broad label such as “crash.”
3. Reduce competing GPU and memory load
Close other applications that are using substantial GPU resources, then see whether the same crash or hitch can still be reproduced. Epic identifies other applications and exhausted video memory (VRAM) as possible factors in GPU crashes. If GPU memory appears nearly exhausted, reducing resolution or closing memory-heavy applications are reasonable general checks.
These steps test whether the problem changes under lower GPU-memory pressure; they do not confirm that memory pressure was the original cause. Record what you closed or changed and whether the result changed, rather than making several adjustments together. If you use GPU monitoring, note whether the memory use was close to its available capacity at the time of the symptom; do not treat one reading as proof of the cause.
4. Check whether heat accompanies the failure
If the issue occurs after sustained play or the hardware appears unusually hot, note when it starts and whether the temperature pattern changes alongside the symptom. Heat is one of the checks suggested by general GPU troubleshooting, but the game-specific specifications and FAQ do not confirm overheating as a cause. Avoid treating a temperature suspicion as proof of a game defect or a specific hardware failure.

5. Send support a reproducible report if it persists
Contact the game’s official support channel with your hardware and Windows details, the exact error or a clear description of the symptom, when it occurs, and the steps that reproduce it. Include which diagnostic checks you tried and their results. Do not make registry edits to Windows GPU timeout values as a routine player fix: Epic discusses timeout changes as advanced debugging and cautions about registry changes.
Improve low FPS or stuttering without guessing at a fix
Start with resolution and the settings the game actually exposes
After checking that the PC meets the minimum, use the game’s available resolution and graphics controls to test whether a less demanding configuration changes the symptom. Change one option at a time and compare under the same repeatable situation. This can show whether reducing rendering load helps on your PC; it is not a published optimal preset, and no game-specific best settings are established by the cited sources.
If you see AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) as an option in the game’s settings, AMD’s game page lists the technology for this title. The page does not state a measured FPS gain or provide a troubleshooting recipe. Its presence is not a guarantee of improvement, so treat it as an option to evaluate on your own system rather than a promised fix. If you test it, compare the same scene and resolution before and after, and note whether image quality or smoothness changes in a way you prefer.

If the frame rate is consistently low, revisit the CPU and GPU comparison and test whether reducing resolution or other available graphics demands changes it. A frame rate that improves when rendering demand is reduced may point toward a graphics limitation, but it does not prove the cause on its own. If the game runs smoothly and then pauses briefly, note the timing and check for competing GPU applications or high VRAM use instead.
Try to make comparisons under similar conditions: use the same resolution, the same part of the game and the same background applications, changing only one setting between attempts. If reducing resolution changes persistent FPS but not brief hitches, record those as two different outcomes. Do not infer an official graphics preset from an individual test; the published specifications contain no target frame rate or benchmark result.
A storage upgrade should not be the first response to either symptom unless you independently need an SSD or more free space. Do not treat an unconfirmed tweak as a game fix
The game-specific information cited here does not establish a special graphics preset, shader-cache procedure, configuration edit, or launch command for fixing Hellraiser: Revival stutter or low FPS. Avoid applying an internet tip as if it were an official fix unless a current game-specific announcement supports it. A change that happens to alter performance on one system is not, by itself, proof that it resolves the same issue for other players.
What the patch information does—and does not—say
Saber Interactive’s support FAQ gives October 8, 2026 as the game’s release date. In its Portuguese-language FAQ, Saber says it expects to release some patches to address issues discovered after launch, while stating that it has no plans for future DLC or content updates. That describes an expectation about patches, not confirmation that a particular crash, stutter, or low-FPS issue has been fixed.
The FAQ does not identify a performance patch or say which problems a patch addresses. Do not assume an issue-specific fix exists unless a current official note names it. A Steam Community search result surfaced a demo note about movement or input softlocks, but it is not evidence of a performance fix and does not establish a solution for the PC symptoms in this guide.

When a symptom is inconsistent, change only one factor between attempts. This makes it clearer whether the result tracks with a driver, another running application, resolution or another available graphics option. Keep the record brief enough to reproduce:
- Write down the date, symptom, exact error if any, and the point in play when it occurred.
- Record the PC’s CPU, GPU and VRAM, RAM, Windows version, display resolution, drive type and available storage.
- Note what was running alongside the game and whether GPU-memory use or temperatures appeared unusual.
- Make one test change, such as closing a GPU-heavy application or lowering resolution, and repeat the same activity.
- Record whether the symptom stopped, changed, or stayed the same. Restore the previous option before testing another if you need a clear comparison.
- Include the sequence and results in a report to official support if the issue remains reproducible.
This log cannot diagnose the game on its own, but it prevents unrelated changes from obscuring a useful pattern. If the PC is below minimum requirements, state that plainly in the report; if it meets them, include the same details rather than assuming the cause must be a game bug.
