Compare the installed Windows edition, processor, RAM, graphics card and its VRAM, DirectX support, and available storage with the listing. Try the low-risk startup checks
Restart Windows and Steam
Close Steam, restart the PC, reopen Steam, and try launching Icarus from your Library. This is a basic troubleshooting check, not a RocketWerkz-confirmed game-specific fix.

Verify the installed game files
- Open Steam and select Library.
- Right-click Icarus and choose Properties.
- Open Installed Files, then select Verify integrity of game files.
- Let Steam complete its check, then try launching the game again.
File verification is a general Steam troubleshooting step. The support guidance cited here is for a different Steam game, so it should not be mistaken for an Icarus-specific instruction from RocketWerkz. Square Enix’s Steam file-verification guidance recommends verification for certain crashes and startup problems.
Pin down when the crash happens
If the basic checks do not help, record the exact failure pattern before changing more settings. Note whether the game never opens, exits during startup, crashes while loading a prospect, or began failing after an update. Copy any error message exactly, and include when the problem started and what you have already tried.

Steam identifies RocketWerkz as the support provider for Icarus and lists [email protected] as its contact email. Send your Windows and hardware details, the point at which the game fails, any exact error text, whether it started after an update, and the troubleshooting steps you completed.
