If your Nintendo Switch shows error code 2107-0445, restart the console, check for a system update, then test it with the microSD card removed. Power the console off before removing the card. If the error continues after these checks, Nintendo recommends service or repair.
What error 2107-0445 may mean
Nintendo Japan lists a possible problem with either the console or its microSD card. That is not a diagnosis: the code alone does not prove which component is at fault. Nintendo’s U.S. and UK guidance focuses on troubleshooting rather than identifying a single cause. The phrase “An Error Has Occurred” does not indicate a separate diagnosis.

Try these fixes in order
1. Restart the console
- Hold the POWER button for at least three seconds.
- Select Power Options, then Restart.
If the console is frozen or will not respond, Nintendo UK advises holding POWER for 12 seconds to force it to shut down. Turn it back on afterward.

- Open System Settings.
- Select System, then System Update.
The update check requires an internet connection. Nintendo’s support guidance recommends ensuring the console has the latest system update. Nintendo of America’s error-code guidance lists this check.

3. Test the console without the microSD card
Turn the console completely off before removing the microSD or microSD Express card. Then start the console and check whether the error still appears. Nintendo’s U.S. and UK guidance includes both card types.
If the error changes or disappears without the card, that is useful evidence for troubleshooting, but it does not by itself prove the card is defective.

4. If removing the card helps, check the card
Nintendo Japan suggests cleaning the card contacts with a dry, soft cloth, reinserting it, and checking again. You can also try another compatible microSD card. These steps may help identify a card-related problem, but Nintendo does not promise they will resolve the error. There is no specific card brand or model recommended for this error.
5. Contact Nintendo for service if the error remains
If the code persists after restarting, updating, and testing without the card, stop troubleshooting and follow Nintendo’s repair or service process for your country. Nintendo of America says: “If the error code persists, the console will need to be sent in for service.” Repair routing and warranty instructions vary by region; use your country’s Nintendo support site. Nintendo Japan advises sending the console and card together for inspection when the card is in use and the problem cannot be resolved.
