If Roblox is silent, first play audio in another app and check your phone’s media volume and audio output. If other apps are silent too, troubleshoot the device or connected headphones. If only Roblox has no sound, use Roblox’s app recovery steps below. Roblox’s official mobile troubleshooting guides cover general app issues, not a confirmed sound-specific cause.
First, find out whether Roblox or the device is the problem
- Play audio in another app, such as a video or music app.
- While audio is playing, raise the phone’s media volume.
- Check whether sound is being sent to Bluetooth headphones, a speaker, or another paired device.
If other apps are silent, focus on the device’s volume, speaker, or audio accessory. If other apps play normally but Roblox does not, continue to Roblox troubleshooting.
Check volume and audio output
Android
Press a volume button to open the volume controls, then raise Media volume while audio is playing. Android treats media volume separately from ringtone, notification, alarm, and call volume; its guide labels this control “Media volume: Music, videos, games, and other media.” Google’s Android volume guide explains the controls. Menu names can vary by device maker and Android version.
If you use Bluetooth, check the volume on both the phone and accessory. Also confirm that the accessory is connected for media playback and that its Media audio option is enabled. Make sure a different paired device is not receiving the sound instead. See Google’s instructions for connecting Bluetooth devices.

iPhone or iPad
Raise the volume while audio is playing, or open Control Center and use its volume slider. If you use Bluetooth, check the playback destination from the Lock Screen or Control Center and choose the intended accessory or phone output. Apple describes these controls in its audio playback guidance.
Test the speaker and headphones separately
Disconnect Bluetooth temporarily and test the built-in speaker with another app. Then try a known-working pair of headphones, if available. This helps distinguish an app problem from a speaker or accessory problem.

On iPhone or iPad, if no apps play through the built-in speaker, check Silent mode, Do Not Disturb, and whether the speaker opening is blocked. Apple’s iPhone or iPad speaker troubleshooting covers these checks. These are Apple-specific checks, not Android menu instructions. If one headphone pair fails while another works, the original accessory may be faulty. If sound is absent across outputs, contact the device or accessory maker.
If only Roblox is silent, try its app recovery steps
Roblox recommends trying its troubleshooting suggestions one at a time. Start with the least disruptive steps; reinstalling or clearing app data may require you to sign in again, so have your account credentials available.

iPhone or iPad
- Force-close Roblox, then reopen it.
- Restart the device.
- Check that iOS or iPadOS and Roblox are up to date.
- If the problem continues, reinstall Roblox, clear Roblox cookies, and check that the device’s date and time are correct.
These are Roblox’s general steps in its iOS app technical-issues guide; Roblox does not identify them as guaranteed fixes for missing audio.
Android
- Close and reopen Roblox, or force-stop it in the device’s app settings.
- Restart the device.
- Check that Android and Roblox are up to date.
- If the problem continues, reinstall Roblox, clear its app data, and check that the device’s date and time are correct.
Roblox lists these general recovery steps in its Android app technical-support guide. Clearing app data or reinstalling may require signing in again; neither step is documented as a sound-specific fix.

Check whether the device meets Roblox’s mobile requirements
Roblox’s published minimum requirements are iOS or iPadOS 14 or later, and Android OS 8.0 or later with OpenGL ES 3.0 support. Roblox notes that newly released operating systems and devices may not be supported immediately. These requirements are compatibility context, not evidence that an older device is the cause of missing sound. See Roblox’s device and operating-system requirements.

If the rest of Roblox works but one experience is silent, look for audio or volume controls in that experience’s settings, if available. Experiences may differ, and Roblox’s general mobile support articles do not establish that every experience has the same sound control.

When to contact support
Contact Roblox
If other apps and device outputs work but Roblox remains silent after app troubleshooting, contact Roblox Customer Support. Include your Roblox username, device model, operating-system version, any error message, steps that reproduce the problem, and recent device or connection changes. Roblox’s platform-specific guides request device and issue details to help investigate.
Contact the device or accessory maker
If multiple apps remain silent through the built-in speaker, or your tests point to a faulty speaker or headphones, seek support from the device or accessory maker. Apple notes that persistent speaker problems may require service in its speaker troubleshooting guidance.
