The message commonly associated with the code says: “Same account launched from different device. Leave the experience on the other device and try again. How to troubleshoot Error Code 264
- Check for another active session. Look at phones, tablets, and computers where you use the account. Check both the Roblox app or desktop client and any game launched through a browser.
- Close the other session. Leave the experience and close Roblox on the other device or client. If you have just left a game or the client crashed, wait briefly before trying to join again; secondary guides and user reports describe rapid retries or sessions that have not cleared as possible contexts. - Check browser launches on desktop. If you start Roblox from a browser, see whether more than one Roblox process or client appears to be running. If the error keeps returning and you cannot identify another session, inspect the account’s signed-in sessions and investigate activity you do not recognize. - Record details if it persists. Note the exact error wording, device and operating system, whether you launched through a browser or app, and whether another Roblox process remained open.
